Unlimited Flying Glitch: Difference between revisions

The glitch allows [[Rayman]] to go into the same state he is put in when using a flying [[keg]], thus allowing him to fly through a level as if he were holding one. Unlike conventional flying with a [[keg]], [[Rayman]] can fly in this state indefinitely, there is no burning out that will cause damage to [[Rayman]] that will knock him out of this state. The player can still manually have [[Rayman]] exit this state by pressing the jump button, this is equivalent to [[Rayman]] dropping a flying [[keg]], and causes him to fall downwards. The glitch occurs when a keg is destroyed in mid-flight while Rayman is invulnerable due to taking damage. The reason this happens is because when a keg is destroyed in mid-flight, the keg object is removed and damage is dealt to Rayman which puts him in the "damage" state. However, if the keg is destroyed while Rayman is invulnerable, the keg object is still removed but Rayman is kept in the "flying" state.

The most commonly known area for the glitch to be performed is in the second phase of [[the Menhir Hills]]. All of the prerequisites for the glitch are within close proximity to each other, allowing for the glitch to be performed with ease. To begin, [[Rayman]] must fly with a [[keg]], which allows shots from a [[Henchman 800|Henchman]] to light a keg. Next, he must get another keg and move toward the Henchman 800 on the balcony, and cause it to awaken. Finally, [[Rayman]] must throw the keg above him, and allow himself to be shot by the [[Henchman 800|Henchman]], then get shot again shortly before catching the keg. If performed correctly, the keg will both light and explode, and [[Rayman]] will be in the permanent [[keg]] flying state.
