It was released in October 2014 in two different editions: the normal edition and the collector's edition, known in French as "Édition Origine". The latter, only limited to five hundred units, contains an alternative white cover with a ''[[Rayman 1|Rayman]]'' sketch by [[Michel Ancel]] and an exclusive 48-page book, ''L'Histoire de Rayman: Les Artworks Oubliées'' (''The History of Rayman: Forgotten Artworks''), featuring never before seen ''[[Rayman Legends]]'' artworks.
