The [[Rabbid]]s, along with their [[Time Washing Machine]], end up in the laboratory of a ''Super Mario'' fan who is working on a visor called SupaMerge that can fuse objects. One of the [[Rabbid]]s finds the visor and starts fusing [[Rabbid]]s with various ''Mario''-related objects, leading to the formation of [[Rabbid Mario]] and [[Rabbid Peach]]. He also hits the [[Time Washing Machine]], causing it to malfunction and send [[Beep-0]], the inventor's robot companion, and the [[Rabbid]]s to the Mushroom Kingdom.

In the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario and his friends are sucked into a vortex and encounter the [[Rabbid]]s. They team up with [[Rabbid Peach]], Rabbid Luigi, and others to fight against strange enemy creatures formed by the fusion, with the help of weapons sent to Beep-0 by someone called "F.B.". They also befriend a [[Rabbid]] called Spawny, who has powerful abilities.

As they travel through different areas, they discover a growing threat called the Megabug, which is linked to the fusion phenomenon.
