The '''Spinneroo''' or '''Hoodlock''' is a large, grey [[Hoodlum]] who allegedly worked as a prison guard.  These Hoodlums carry heavy canonballs as malicious attacking weapons for any who try to bypass. These are casually wielded back and forth in normal gameplay but vigorously spun as the '''Spinneroo''' rotates in attack.

These [[Hoodlum]]s typically act as barriers or blockages to paths. Fortunately, they are fairly light in weight and can be shifted backwards by simple shots - the Spinneroo is conventionally defeated by falling in marshland or lava, after being given several consecutive fists. A fully powered [[Heavy Metal Fist]] is also sufficient to defeat a Hoodlock. The clanging sound effect they emit upon defeat is the same as that of the Robo-Pirates in ''[[Rayman 2]]''.

Spinneroos also appear in [[Rayman 3 (Game Boy Advance)|the handheld adaptation of ''Rayman 3'']]. In this game, they patrol back and forth on platforms, and [[Rayman]] must use his [[Bodyshot|body-slam]] power to break the wooden walkways they use, thus killing them in a similar fashion to the [[Gorilla Pirate]]s of ''[[Rayman 2]]''.
