According to [http://www.raymanpc.com/wiki/script-en/index.php?title=Eat_at_Joe%27s&diff=11119&oldid=9375 this modification] by Spiral in 2009, the first part of the level is still playable upon revisiting it. That's weird, I thought it sent you straight to the firefly section.
