==Description==

Spiral Doors come in sizes both big and small and resemble small whirling spiral galaxies. Their colours may vary from place to place, being blue with a yellow centre in most areas and red with a pink centre at [[Teensie Circle]]s. In the PS1 version, a spiral door which is entirely yellow was also used and in ''[[Rayman Revolution]]'' white ones are used.  In [[the Hall of Doors]], Spiral Doors are colour-coded: blue-and-yellow doors indicate that the corresponding level still contains at least one [[Yellow Lum]] which the player has not yet collected or at least one [[cage]] which has yet to be broken; red Spiral Doors indicate that a level has been completed 100%, with all Yellow Lums gathered and all cages destroyed. In the PlayStation version of ''Rayman 2'', the Spiral Doors leading to [[the Walk of Life]] and [[the Walk of Power]] are yellow in colour. Contrary to the western versions of ''[[Rayman Revolution]]'', in its Japanese version the regular Spiral Doors are blue coloured.  

Outside the [[Teensie Circle]]s and [[the Hall of Doors]], Spiral Doors generally require a special square stone slab to be function. These slabs bear a spiral inscription, similar to way that the face of [[Murfy]] appears on the [[Stone of Thought|Stones of Thought]]; by performing a special dance, [[Rayman]] and a [[Teensie]] can summon forth a Spiral Door from the stone slab. Occasionally Spiral Doors can be created without a slab; for example, the [[Grand Minimus]] creates one in [[the Woods of Light]] by taking advantage of a special rift in the ground, and [[Polokus]] can conjure Spiral Doors simply by waving his hands. The stone slabs are in fact cubes, with inscriptions on every side; however, this is rarely seen, as they are usually embedded in walls or floors with only one face protruding.

Spiral Doors are portals that connect distant places to each other.  They are regulated by the [[Grand Minimus]], and are capable of being created by [[Teensie|Teensies]], [[Polokus]], and the [[Guardian of the Cave of Bad Dreams]].  In ''Rayman 2'', the Spiral Doors are connected to one another via [[the Hall of Doors]]. In ''[[Rayman Revolution]]'', Spiral Doors connect to the nearest [[Teensie Circle]].
