:::: And since the copyright owner of the original work also owns the rights to derivative works, this means that such changes cannot be used to justify a copy to another wiki with an incompatible license. The only thing I'm not sure about is how the original author releasing the same content under various licenses actually works. — 14:02, 12 November 2023 (CET) | :::: And since the copyright owner of the original work also owns the rights to derivative works, this means that such changes cannot be used to justify a copy to another wiki with an incompatible license. I'm talking about personal experience as editor on other wikis and encyclopedias. Also, Wikipedia articles are created by volunteers and are of public dominion, they don't have a copyright nor are private properties, even anonymous users can create them. The reason they request to not write exact identical copies (at least not all of them request it) of articles and sections from other sites is because they cannot be proven to be plagiarism. Also, since I'm the one who created that section on Wikipedia before writing the other version here (just with more content since this is a Rayman totally focused on Rayman franchise and with slightly different wordings in occasional points), why would be this a problem?
