When Moskito is first encountered in Anguish Lagoon and attacks Rayman by trying to poke him with his nose. After being defeated, Moskito begins to cry. Rayman comforts him and he then carries Rayman across the lagoon.

Later in the game, at Moskito's Nest, Moskito is fought again. He has similar attacks to before, with the addition of using spiky berry's of varying sizes to attack with.

In the PS version, when encountered the second time, Moskito has different colours to before; instead of being mostly purple with white gloves, and a yellow nose, shoes and stripes, he appears a more reddish purple colour, is a dark purple where he used to be yellow, and his gloves are changed to a brighter purple. Also, his wings change to red. Another difference is that the berries he uses are different colours instead of all being the same colour.
