The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire is a location in Rayman 2: The Great Escape. It follows Whale Bay in all versions of the game but the PlayStation and Game Boy Color adaptations, in which it follows the Canopy. It is the second location in which one of the Four Masks of Polokus is hidden, and the longest level in the game.
The Land of the Livid Dead, also known as the Moor of Mad Spirits, is an idyllic but bleak landscape which acts as the fourth of nine levels in Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.

This level takes place in a mountainous area, and starts at the top of a gigantic fault which Rayman enters. It is filled with lava, and a volcano can be seen in the Dreamcast version. Inside the cliffs are tunnels and caves which eventually lead to two underground temples, one of which is the temple where the Stone Mask is located, while the other only contains extra Lums and cages.
The landscape is reminiscent of a Celtic ruin, and the rocky hills are filled with ancient stone monoliths, small passages and sunken structures. The climate appears to be very mild and cloudy, though it rains in the later sections. This land is beside either a sea or ocean. The stone walls are covered with engravings made by the Griskin Teensies a long time ago, before they were turned to ghosts by the Great Spirit Palmito.
