Annetta Fish is a character from Rayman Origins. She is one of Betilla's sisters that is imprisoned in the mouth of a Darktoon, and is first encountered in Port 'O Panic, the first level of the the Sea of Serendipity. When Rayman, Globox and the Teensies rescue her, she will give them the power to dive underwater. There's a PlayStation Network trophy/Xbox LIVE Gamerscore achievement, called Merm-Aid!, which consists in a player rescuing her from a Darktoon.

Character description

As her name might suggest, Annetta is referred to as the Ocean Nymph. She has long, navy blue hair, wears a light blue miniskirt, stockings and gloves that cover most of her arms, all with a scaly finish, and she wears the skull of a fish enemy on her head. She is the only nymph in the family that doesn't necessarily wear a garment on her torso, but rather a bra made from what appears to be shells. Along at least one of her stockings, is a full fish skeleton.

Role in Rayman Origins

When Annetta is rescued, she is then seen on the map of the Sea of Serendipity before the players reach Bad Bubbles and Beyond, which is a level consisting of an Electoon bridge. If the players gather enough Electoons, she will grant them access to this level. Later on she is seen in the Angsty Abyss, before the players enter Murray of the Deep, the boss level of this world.

When the players reach Riding the Storm, the first level of the Moody Clouds, she is seen along with the other nymphs floating in the top right corner of the portal that leads to the Moody Clouds; once the Water King is defeated, she is lastly seen meditating.

Trivia

• Annetta's hair resembles the color of the minions from the Land of the Livid Dead.
• She could possibly be a parody of popular mermaids from mainstream media (ex. Ariel).
• She is one of the two nymphs in the series whose names are not puns of something, her and Fee de la Mort.
• Altough Her name could be a pun on I need a fish.
