Toads act as wild barbarians, and invade small towns populated by defenseless [[Teensie]]s, causing war and disaster. They usually just carry a machete with them, though some will also carry a wooden shield, which can be outsmarted with Murphy's tickle ability or just with a stronger punch. Some Toads prefer standing on stilts to avoid danger, and can be defeated by reaching their altitude or simply calling Murphy to break their stilts. Their strategies also involve air ambush with parachutes, similar to those used by the Lividstones. Some Toads will even run at Rayman with their machetes, making a battle cry. Like most of the enemies, Toads can be defeated with one hit.

In appearance, they're considerably different to regular toads, with small legs and arms and no visible webbed fingers. Their most noticeable feature is their green egg-shaped body covered in boils, surrounded by a big loincloth-like belt. In appearance, they slightly resemble [[Polokus]] as he appears in ''[[Rayman 2: The Great Escape]]''.

A giant version of the them called [[Armored Toad]] is a boss of Toad Story. There's another variety of toad called a [[Red Toad]], that can breathe fire and that wears jetpacks.
