While all the islands are different, each French Workshop activity follows the same structure. At the beginning of each activity, Joe will sing a song relating to what the player will be learning. After this, Joe will introduce the player to the island and give instructions. They can either play the song again, use the memo feature, where players can hear each word that is going to come up in the game, or play the game. Each game has the player identifying a word Joe says in French with the picture that would go with it.
