On April 23rd 2012, four screenshots of an alleged sequel to Rayman Origins were leaked, along with the information that the game would be set in a new, darker universe, with watercolour art style and polygonal models, feature ghosts, dragons and Greek gods, and contain online mini-games. On April 24th, another set of eight screenshots was leaked.
On April 26th 2012, the registration of new domain names by Ubisoft gave away the name of the sequel, Rayman Legends.
