Re: RayTwol ~ Rayman 2 level editor (1.0 release)

"Something went wrong during setup. Press OK to try again"

I pressed cancel and the program showed up.

Well. Now I can further explore Rayman 2 maps like in Raymap online :D
At least I don't have to wait for the files to download...
But Droolie's tool have implemented proper lighting.

Re: RayTwol ~ Rayman 2 level editor (1.0 release)

Maybe someone has working installation and can share with us.
I suspect that all necessary files are stored in the twool's folder, so if anyone has that program still working, please add it to archive and upload.

Re: Rayman emulation

I'm not sure whether ePSXe forces 30FPS if game version is PAL.
Do you have NTSC/USA?
Maybe it works better.

And for 2D game, default GPU plugin may work better.
It is more accurate.

Yeah. All hail RibShark.
Also for Rayman 2 widescreen patch, and lot of support around the net.
Thank you

And that's because it's traumatizing vision.
Even more seeing the scene in a loop and couldn't choose other option.

I added that info on PCGamingWiki too. Feel free to add more info about issues you encountered before using dgVoodoo: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Rayman_Origins#Improper_work_of_the_game_on_Linux I also replayed Rayman 2 PSX quite recently, and I post again my settings for ePSXe: https://www.dropb...

Re: Tonic Trouble Soundtrack

Thanks for your reply. Damn. You're right with that noise. It was created during trimming, after exporting in Audacity. Sorry for that. Still, it doesn't resolve the problem of higher volume of shared 3.1 rip than in CTPAX-X files, which also has an influence on sound quality. Maybe it's due to non-...

Re: Discussing the Rayman 2's Alternative Ending

Actually, even the sound of this game over scene is traumatising, and sometimes sounds in my head when I suddenly screw up something to this day. As a kid, during the first gameplay, I remembered the whole level as traumatising. It was early, gloomy morning, 20-25 FPS on Pentium MMX 166MHz and some ...

Re: Tonic Trouble Soundtrack

In case of DVD rip conversion, feel free to check yourself all the encoding options. Usually you should have right, and I exactly know what are you talking about, but I met with this idea in some thread about AC3 downmix/conversion, and somehow it worked. I don't usually do such things on normal fil...

Re: Tonic Trouble Soundtrack

Visual comparison by waveform or spectrum analysis is moot at this point. Yeah. Especially seing that noise above 16kHz. In your 2-second files, volume is probably the same. At least automatic algorithm of ReplayGain detection shows the same values. But on the file gathered from your V3.1 rip, volu...

Re: Discussing the Rayman 2's Alternative Ending

Speaking about trauma... When I was passing the game as a kid, I got stuck on selection screen between choosing gold or treasure is not for me. Selection was set by default to gold, and the game was infinitely redirecting to Game Over cutscene when Space was constantly pressed. Scarcely few months l...

Re: Discussing the Rayman 2's Alternative Ending

One trivia about the "I want the gold" scene. It's very small area where Rayman seems to look as very big, enlarged figure. The area only served for this one particular cutscene to show one scene from a distance, hence the simplification. It's not built like normal explorable areas. I need to admit,...

Re: Tonic Trouble Soundtrack

Allright. I did a comparison in Webm and Spek:
https://imgur.com/y6pocBK

Furthermore, the files are different in case of loudness:
https://imgur.com/a/csSmBuw

It is like with ReplayGain. It's not recommended for bit-perfect playback. Files will sound different. You can't skip this.

This bug with Clark if wasn't fixed already, it can be worked out by disabling speedhacks or other fixes in emulator options.

Re: RayTunes - The Definitive Rayman Music Archive

Accidentally I've seen in a TV today "Puss in Boots" (2011) - really cool animated series with the same character of the cat from Shrek and Antonio Banderas. There was a great soundtrack, and near credits - music reminding Rayman Origins OST's spaghetti western style, which I really loved. Maybe som...

Re: Rayman emulation

I'll only let you know, that default CPU overclocking option introduced in some newer version may cause major issues in at least Rayman 2.
