3D Rayman Sequel?

Ancel should stop giving priority always just Beyond Good and Evil or more, were 10 years that follow this way, but at least in 2003 he oversaw Rayman 3 HH. When him will remember who before there was Rayman and Rayman is de facto Michel Ancel. Then put the same dedication for Rayman 4 and did happy most people who want the return of TRUE Rayman, the Rayman of Rayman 2 TGE or Rayman 3 HH, damn!

Rayman next year will celebrate 20 years, why not take advantage to make Rayman 4?!

As for Beyond Good and Evil, frankly, I do want BG&E2 first. Talk down Origins and Legends as much as you like, but the fact remains Michel was heavily involved in both, he pretty much left BG&E2 in limbo for Origins and Legends. If they're not up to what you want, fine. But I'd rather those who have not had any morsel of their franchise for well over a decade, got what they waited for, rather than be delayed further because we're too snooty and up our own arses to deal with what Montpellier actually took time out to give us.

In my opinion, an ambitious and expansive game as Rayman IV (cancelled prototype) may not have been simply abandoned and it ended there in 2006. According to me in a few years, perhaps on the celebration of 20° years anniversary of Rayman in 2015 you should start to learn something, unfortunately the Platform genre is dead and there is little selling invests over, this is what worries me!

Ancel has made it clear in more than one occasion that if it were up to him Rayman would still be that of a time! That's why I blame for Ubisoft!

I never played it but lets this sequel doesn't end up like Duke Nukem Forever.

Last I've heard, it's been upped to active development, so fingers crossed that the wait ends soon.
In the meantime, I thoroughly recommend you try put the first one, some liken it as the Zelda to Rayman's Mario, and there's probably some ground in that comparison. But even so, it definitely has its own unique style and mysticism that really does put it up there.

They're both fun, some prefer one to the other, so some people will be happy, and some not as much with whatever they choose to go for.

that's how I explained it to my friends at least. but ubisoft I find is more willing to be creative without hashing/damaging Ancel's properties than nintendo is with Miyamoto's.

I also agree with you about the speech of waiting, but instead of spending money dedicated to Origins and Legends, with the money spent and with some funding published Rayman 4 in 2006 or at least few years ago, don't you think?!
I do not think it was such a difficult thing, the real reason is that Ubisoft does not believe in this franchise because he is afraid to make an expensive product that will poorly sell and then use a little stupid marketing tactics for their own sake, this is the only truth!
Then forgive me, it makes you happy with BG&E2, but doing we also glad!

If it has been for Rayman Legends that costs poorly in terms of development let alone for Rayman 4 that is expensive.

Rayman 4 was not published not because it is inappropriate to the controller of the Wii, but for speculation within the company. Ancel can justify himself and justify Ubisoft as believe, but people are not stupid!
In fact the only platform version of Rayman Raving Rabbids was released only for GBA there who was in 2D in order to not waste the work done between 2005 and 2006 have decided to circumvent the development costs with this tactic, confirming everything I say.

again, legends is relatively cheap compared to other games. coughGTA5coughcough. and considering how much experience many of UBI's developers have with platformers I doubt funding and research is a particular high in rayman 4's problems.

(Couldn't help myself) The DS also had a platformer rabbids, not as good maybe but it exists. while its true they wanted parts of the old game to come back, I hardly want to see THAT specific concept tried again, because Ancel and the Villa Crew can totally come up with a cooler concept than Rabbids Return: Rayman fantasy 13-4, the rip-off!

I myself am stating that Rayman Legends is cheap! Read carefully, I say that Rayman 4 is expensive, not Legends.

I don't need to validate my theory at all costs when it is so obvious and I'm not the only one who thinks so.
If anything Ubisoft and Ancel were justified at any cost so as not to produce Rayman 4 because they were afraid of retaliation financial that such a project could have on the company!
In fact, after Rayman had tried at all costs to abandon 2D then suddenly with an apology back in 2D.
In addition Rayman was released in 3D in the 32/64-bit era, now what was missing to be re-released in 3D with the new powerful formats? I believe when someone do not wants to do something finds excuses.

PS: and anyway, even if the problem was not of a financial nature, however, the Ubisoft staff are lot turning around without doing anything!

Whats wrong with 2D. I love the art in Origins and Legends. And the gameplay is fun and kicks Mario behind to the Arctic.
To me Rayman Origins is Rayman 4.

Mario always changes from 3D to 2D and vice versa depending on a game. Ubisoft wanted to try something different and plus many people liked Rayman 1 best and that game was 2D.

Bottom line, Rayman should be a mix of 2D and 3D Games.
