I think the anime should just be about Team Rocket because they're obviously more interesting and more well developed than Ash. :P

I agree 100%. At least main villains in Tatsunoko's anime Yatterman got their own video games so Team Rocket deserves their own Anime or video game. When I think about it, Team Rocket and Dorombo gang can easly be compared:

Also, they both have same goals. They work for boss and are following his orders (Team Rocket searches for Pokemon, Dorombo gang searches for Skull stones). At the end of every episode, both Team Rocket and Dorombo gang fail and somethign funny happenes. I like when Dorombo gang's boss called Dokurobei (Dokuro means Skull on Japanese and "obei" clearly comes from word "obey")punishes them at the end of every episode :mryellow:

Considering this is Anime we are talking about, I find style used in Yatterman or any other Tatsunoko Anime more like cartoon. That is why Tatsunoko company is known as Japanese Hanna-Barbera. Watching their anime feels more like watching cartoon instead.
Also, let's compare what both Dorombo gang and Team Rocket usually say:
Yes, they sing this in every episode but short version.

Ah, get that from Kotaku, did we? I read that article too, someone made a funny comment about walking to your favourite place, and then suddenly into a space time distortion.
