General Pokémon Thread

The black Legendary looks kinda cool but the white one is awful imo. And he has some funny looking hair in a certain spot...

Wow... original, they're both part Dragon type.
And they're are still no poison and bug type legendary's in the games.

They look like fucking Digimon. Or washed-out versions of the Diamond/Pearl legendaries. I'm not amused, but luckily I don't care too much about this game.

It certainly is. The original Digimon concept may have been somewhat 'inspired' by Pokémon but now it looks like it's come full-circle.

Well, Digimon was first, actually. Pokemon was inspired by them. At least that's what I heard.

I just watched Pokemon, The jewel of life (the Arceus movie).
It's the best pokemon movie since Mewtwo Strikes back!!! :D

I have mixed feelings about that movie. I think the first one was best. Second would be the Darkrai one.

The movies out? Man I have to go see it.

First one is defiantly the best. I loved the Darkrai movie, I love Darkrai. :)

Yeah, i just watched the Darkrai movie.
Darkrai is cool because it's a ''good'' pokemon, even if it's a dark type.

No, Pokémon came first in 1995 on Japan, but it took around 6 years (according to what I know) to this game be designed and ready to get on the stores' shelves. Digimon came after, in kind of Tamagotchis.

The first time I looked to the white legendary it reminded me a recycled version of Palkia due to the feet...

About Digimon's originality, that's true, but I still prefer Pokémon in general about every content. But even being a Pokémon fan, this game isn't also capturing my atention as other games did...

It's clear enough that GameFreak is running out of ideas since Generation 4.

I think they ran out after the second gen already. Every time, the legendaries become more and more mecha, and I don't know what to say about the other pokemon from those gens anymore.

Also, there's too many legendaries now to still consider them 'legendary' anymore, in my opinion.

Ofcourse, there are still some very cool pokemon from every gen, there's no denying that. But at every gen, there are less 'original' pokemon than the gen before them.

Hmm... Digimon or not, that Zekrom fellow is beginning to grow on me. It's good that the cool legendary is the Black one, not the White one, as I always choose the first of the pair (Red, not Blue; Gold, not Silver etc) because they seem to be the 'correct' versions to me; playing a game called 'Blue' in which you are officially named 'Red' and your rival is named 'Blue' just bugs me for some reason.

I strategicaly choose the less bought versions, to have more chances to find other players with the opposite versions.

You'll notice Zekrom is actually the mascot of white, and Reshiram black.
