General Pokémon Thread

I said that because there are way too many Pokemon games, versions, reiterations and remakes, and they're all basically the same. Not because I loathe the core concept of it...

I think there should be a Pokémon game out that keeps updating itself with new regions/pokémon/items etc.
 
Yes. So we don't have hundreds upon hundreds of games that are basically the same.

I actually thought that was teh case, but I can see how it could be misinterpreted.
I agree to an extent though, the series has been on a Decline since Generation II (Gold and Silver). They were truly the greatest in most aspects. The later generations however have brought a lot of details that really add to the competitive aspect of it, which is good, and now... the remakes will combine all of these.
Hence Pokemon HG/SS = Best Pokemon Games Ever.
Unless they fuck it up.
 
Gold/Silver (male character) and Crystal (female character). Didn't you click on the link that I deleted earlier? It shows how badly designed the boy is in the remakes. And the link Serza posted showed how Crystal looks like Mario's daughter. :lol:

Gold looks fine to me. :|
And it's not Crystal, it's a completely new character. Why they bothered doing that I'm not sure, but meh.
 
I just got Pokemon Platinum to work on my ds flashcart!!!
Now to wait untill Soul Silver...... only 270 days (just saying a random number xD)
 
It's coming out in September 2009 in Japan if memory serves. I bet it will reach the states in February 2010 and May 2010 in Europe. Got a long time to wait, my fraands.
