yeah, PC is much better. for a start, the admin here is cool. and it's phpbb3. and no vengeful hackers which is always a plus.

I had no idea you guys would have taken it seriously or wouldnt have said it....I mean come on now... theres not many teenage boys that would even be doing homework on a Friday night. :wink:

I have joined RZ as a mod with no bad intentions, I am only there to try and help improve the community for the community. If I fail I will leave, but it would be nice if you could hold the judgements until I actually mess it up!!

You are entitled to your opinions but I am also entitled to a fair chance.

People here aren't criticizing you, they're just criticizing the decision of choosing someone who has never posted in RZ before as a mod. It already happened in the past, and because of RZ being a community with a very marked identity and them not knowing anything at all about it, they miserably failed. If you add the fact that RZ used to be a phpBB forum a long time ago, the terrible way all admins managed the boards, the incredible amount of times it got hacked by a vengeful group, the significant interactions with Pirate-Community and all the members with a strong personality, you get a very complicated community which you can't rule without knowing it well first.
This is why it would have been much better to give you a few months to discover the forums, or, if the situation was urgent, to choose someone amongst the long-time members of RZ.
Anyway, I don't think RZ will ever integrate itself in the Ubi forums, which are simply incompatible with its spirit ;)

Well I'm not one to hold too much of a grudge on someone I don't even know, so I'm giving you a chance. ;) Sorry.

Out of curiosity though have you ever played a Rayman game?

kelvin, it's not called spam for a single one of those reasons, which is quite impressive considering you posted about 50. it's called spam because of a monty python sketch. look it up on yt.

Yes Stacey I have played Rayman, would be a bit daft of me to try modding a forum about a game I know nothing about ;)

Hunchman there were several comments aimed purely at me, the ones about the forum were seperate. Anyone and everyone is entitled to their opinions on how the forums are run & I for one would love to hear them. I would even like to know when you guys think I myself mess up! But I dont necessarily like being judged before I have chance to mess up LOL

Also just because you havent seen me around doesnt mean I havent been around. You wouldnt have noticed me online before I was made a mod :)

I am not going to come in and take over like some power hungry fool, I am going to take my time getting to know individuals and how the forum runs and take it from there slowly.

I have already done my homework on a few members and have found some fantastic artwork from one in particular! Well impressed!!! Hopefully once i've settled in a little bit I can get a sig made :)

I know I have a lot of work ahead of me but am prepared to put in the time and effort.

In some cases a total outsider is prefered, I was never able to be a mod on the GR forums when I frequented it, its just something they like to do. I have no idea why but i'm sure they beleive they have their reasons.

And I looked up a site of them and I copied and pasted them all.

None of them seemed to be familiar though. :p
