While yes, HC's message was harmless enough and wouldn't make the entire forum go blank again and make starving orphans in Kenya drop dead, the posting of messages encouraging such destructive actions enrages me. I find it rude and disgusting, because you can not understand how much work has been put into that place, and what such a wipeout does. You need to understand that Kleaneasy is responsible of several other forums at Ubisoft as well as RZ, and I can understand why she can't focus 100% on RZ all the time. And I know putting a lot of work, or even any amout of work into something and then seeing it wiped out time after time isn't any fun either, it is in fact extremely discouraging, and in the end, all you get is shit thrown at you because people are childish and blame you for something you couldn't do anything with.
It's too late to save RZ now. The state of the place is sad. Most of the community has abandoned the ship, and the only reason I visit it daily myself is because of my duty as a moderator. You tire of seeing that yellow bundle of fail every day. It has been slowly taken apart over the duration of several years and cannot be repaired unless those who have been pestering it, quit, which I don't believe they will.
Before you go ahead and critisize the way the place is run, you need to understand the difference between an official forum run by a big company, and a fan forum run by some students in France, the biggest difference being that the people with the most power, the ones who make the final decisions on the official forum aren't the admins or managers, they aren't even visible at the forum.
(It's funny how some students in France do a much better job at managing a forum though, but then again, PC hasn't had low-life hackers wiping it regularly twice a year either)
I'm not defending anyone, and I often disagree with what is decided at RZ, and sometimes also with what is decided here. I'm just saying.
(and in short, I don't want to see any more posts of the same nature as HCs over at RZ. You behave or you leave the place.)
