As you probably already know, two new moderators are going to be chosen for the English section of PC. But for the first time, we have decided to let the interested members apply for this position.

All you have to do is send a private message to the English Moderators group, briefly introducing yourself and (preferably not briefly) explaining why you want to be a moderator and why you think you would be a good one.

Nothing prevents you from posting your application publicly as well, but in any case, the list of the applicants will not be divulged by the moderating team. You may as well express your support here for other members, but such messages will be taken into account in function of their relevance, and the final decision is at the sole discretion of the moderating team.

As concerns applicants, there are no absolute criteria, but a certain seniority, a good knowledge of PC, a proper spelling and intellectual qualities are indeed required.

Applications will be accepted until Sunday, October 4th 12:00 PM (GMT). Do not rush into sending them, as we will carefully read them. They may be accompanied with support letters from other members and/or a list of supporters.

Thanks in advance for your interest, and may the best win!

Maybe your dream will come true!

I feel that he is right for the job, actually. He most definitely has it in him.
He does, but I don't know if he has the best interests of the community at heart.

Sure he does!

Heck why not, I lurk around this place and facepalm so much, I guess I'll just facepalm and lock stuff.

Nah, I'm kidding. But, it's a nice responsibility to hold on your hands.

You know, I've made my mind up now. I'm going to send an application as well. ^^

Good luck to everyone! :)

I've just sent a PM now- I can't believe how much time I had spent typing that out! :)

I s3nt one, I like how you said you'd read them all carefully. Most forums just skim through these kinds of things. :)

Really? You wouldn't really expect that...

Great- I forgot to mention why I wanted to be a moderator. Well, I suppose it's really because I'm certain I would be a good one. Mainly because I have alot of patience, (and spare time) and I'm quick at reacting to posts; basically I know alot of the responsibilities and tasks that are expected of a mod... ^^
