Hey guys! You all know this site has its own kind of emoticons called “smilies” some are very useful, but some have practically no reason to exist, so, why don’t we discuss which one is most useless of them all?
If anything we need more, since I don't think we have an adequate equivalent for the "worried", "thinking" or "doh" emojis 
I think its meaninglessness is what drew me to it in the first place
My guess is that it was added to indicate lists and/or help with the Mot à motI can't imagine what emotion or meaning this one conveys though, and why it doesn't have any other directional counterparts:
Though now that I think of it, I think people use it as a substitute for forms of the verb sortir – as in, they're following the arrow to the exit!

my reaction when I saw you were online (but in a good way)

when there are two nearly identical characters on most keyboards that convey the exact same message, and several other smilies like

that convey similar emotions.
