Unless you're a complete moron you're not going to 'kill' ( ) the proceccor. If you push it too far your computer might start acting a little "weird", though (at least that's my experience with it).

THIS computer has a Zalman 9700 cooler, my other one has a stock cooler that came with the Phenom 9850, which is cooling a Phenom 9500.
