Yeah, this is literally how people believe propaganda. The people they are supposed to trust use that trust against them.
 
I think that schools should have a propaganda course on how to spot such stuff, since many countries have mandatory CPR courses.

I recognize this is silly as normally I've never cared a rat's ass about who's pope, and I'm not even catholic or religious for that matter, but I hate that the new pope is an American. They're already too airheaded with their president, now we're going to witness a whole new era of American egocentricity. Can't help myself but to hate that country more and more the past year. But you know, I hate that country because I love that country, or else I wouldn't care at all I guess.

Hey Catholic here, new pope seems like a decent guy. But I’d need to do my own research before coming to my own conclusion. I’m trying to better myself in that regard
 
Yeah, I’m sure he’s a great guy, but the main fear is how American politics may interfere with Catholicism due to his American citizenship and Trump’s support for him.

Apparently he has publicly denounced J.D. Vance and the regime, so while I was a bit concerned of his ties to the US, it seems that I was mistaken and that he will not play into Trump's hand. What a relief.
