Gog.com? Well, okay... And yes, I was trying to install the PC version.
Why don't you just install it under Dosbox?
It worked like a charm for me and I am also running Windows 7!

I can upload my Dosbox config file for you, if you like!
I got all the Rayman 1 games to run perfectly fine, even the learning games!

EDIT: But that costs money, or...?
EDIT2: Luckily, torrents exist. :P

The Gog.com version works by coming with a copy of Dosbox anyway, so you might as well just use Dosbox

Well, I read somewhere Dosbox didn't work, but yeah, I installed it and it installed Dosbox too. I'll see wheter it works or not tommorow.

Rayman Collector is the most complete pack of the first generation of Rayman games:

- Rayman
- Rayman Designer
- Rayman By His Fans
- Rayman 60 Inedit Levels
- 4 small videos of Making-Of Rayman 2
- 3 small minigames

But everything is in French, except Rayman Designer which is the only one configurable to English.
In this case my Rayman Platin Collection is exactly the same thing in German!
I guess they just changed the name from Collector to Platin Collection for whatever reason...

Some of the files on the CD are actually called "RayColl" which makes this even more likely to be the same collection as Rayman Collector:

60 New Levels (which is called Rayman Forever on my disc) and Rayman By His Fans are German only:

Rayman Designer (which is called Rayman's World on my disc) has English, French and German language available:

(It displays the currently selected language in the upper right corner of the main menu)

(The English, French and German language files for Rayman Designer)

One of the mini games:

The Rayman 2 Making Of:

Yep, just like my Rayman Collector.

Well, with that Rayman Forever from gog.com, the music doesn't work, the intro movie (wit hthe Magician and all that) doesn't play, and the game plays way too fast (because my PC is too advanced or such, I guess). How can I fix that?

Are you using your old CDs or were you able to find disk images for those?

I don't think putting my CD in the PC and launching that Rayman Forever (which uses DosBox) will solve my problem, will it?

EDIT: Well, sometimes, the game runs normally, other times, it goes too fast. Also, when I pressed Ctrl F12, music started to play, but it was music of the Cave of Skops (I believe), while I was in the second level of the Pink Plant Woods... Ctrl F11 and Ctrl F10 don't work (DosBox says that you can change the speed with those keys). All this was done without my CD in the PC.

EDIT2: Rayman Designer seems to work fine; the music plays, and the game plays normally.

EDIT3: Somehow, when making a map in the Event Editor, I can't play it (the key for that is A, right?) or quit the game...

EDIT4: Hmm, could this be because A is my move to the left key? I'll change it and see if it works when I have access to the ame again (it's on a different PC).

EDIT5: Now it works. However, I can't link Piranhas to Gendoors...

EDIT6: Also, my Hunters don't fire their bullet thingies...

What OS do you use by the way? I have ended up on Win7x64 (though I for some time planned installing DOS on a stick, but it turned out my motherboard found the stick to be permanently attached HDD, so booting went WTF).

Windows 7, 64 bit. Also, that strange music in the Dream Forest is apparantly the new replacement for the original tunes... Which sucks. :P

The DOS games of Rayman work great in any computer as long as they are well configured in the DOS emulators.

Neato thanks for the info ^_^

That would be awesome. But Rayman is an old game, dunno if it is easy to HD it. And also, the game needs to be able to run native on Windows instead of DOS.

See, the only problem would be creating some fine "confinement" graphics for smaller maps. If they do not have drawings, they could just make everything "smaller".
