Also..."strange chess game"?! What's this?!
In Rayman3 > Gamedatabin folder there is a fix.lvl file that you can find this:
Just like playing chess, except you throw plums\lto zap Hoodlums instead of moving pawns to put \lthe king in check. To move, use the left analog stick.\lTo kick the plum, press the fire button. To quit, press look mode button. To move, use the left analog stick. \lTo jump, press the jump button. \lTo shoot press the shoot button.

And here is a Xowar game :D:
The Xowar is the kindest of creatures. Convinced\lthat Rayman suffers through not having arms and\llegs, he runs after him to put an end \lto his torment. To move, use the left analog stick. \lTo jump, press the jump utton.

Interesting. ;)

This is very interesting...

So I guess the Xowars (or Xovars) are actually goodies. I just assumed they were designed to be against Rayman because they appeared in an old scrapped loading screen. Also this might suggest the creatures in RRR1 are based on the Xowar's original concept. Interesting stuff.

Except it tries to kill you. :P

I like the sound of the chess one. Maybe you could make some videos on Youtube about it, or some screenshots?

EDIT: I found a chess Rayman game. Not nessecarily Hoodlums, but still...

That's the Raving Rabbids one and I've seen it before. Looks like suck as always with Rabbids games.

They have about 15 Rabbids with plungers. Man, that must be difficult.
And since I live in the Uk, I got offended a lot by that image of the queen.

Some good news and bad news

This morning, I picked up a Sega Saturn with a complete copy of Rayman 1. The bad news is that I'm missing an AV cable, same scenario as when I got the N64 with Tonic Trouble. They're not expensive to pick up on eBay, but even when I do it'll still be a while before I can actually play it, because I want to get a spare TV in my other room [my dad pinched the one I had]. When I get this all going, I'll record some clips.

Great, I want to see it after! :D

It reminds me that I don't pick up a SEGA Saturn for about 13 years. XD

My uncle used to have a Saturn, but eh, not the same taste in games. We did however used to love pissing about in the mansion in Tomb Raider 1.

Now for the Jaguar version...

I think they never make that game or removed it. But maybe it is hidden in one of the versions of Rayman 3! :D

The Chess and Xowar games sound awesome >_<

Also, Stacey...I recall me and my sister messing around in the mansion in Tomb Raider 2 on the PS1. Locking the butler in the freezer was epic.

~I hope they start releasing Jaguar games on the Virtual Console, as odd as that sounds coming from me. I'd like someone to actually be able to play through it aand inform us of any differences between it and the other versions.

I don't have Lara Croft but locking anyone in the freezer is funny, unless it's me.

I once spent Christmas in there...
