Thanks. There aren't enough Rayman 1 fanfictions on Fanfiction . Net, which sucks for me, given it's my favorite.

It's going to be inspired by other stuff, too, like that old Rayman 1 commercial, the short lived Rayman tv show (but only very subtley, like, extremely subtley), and even a bunch of chemistry-science-atomic-quantum mumbo jumbo theorizing why Rayman is the way he is.

Hopefully science doesn't keep you at bay. Don't worry, you won't have to be a rocket scientist to understand it, and even other characters will have question marks above their heads. (Some confusion adds a healthy does of comic relief in the midst of action and drama.)

I actually came up with a whole series of stories based on Rayman 1 with a subtle hint of Rayman TAS once, but all my attempts to write it down went a bit astray. Maybe I should try again some day in a script form, as it was originally intended...

That's neat! Are they short stories?
 
I originally imagined it in my head as an entirely hypothetical TV series, so each script would be an episode. There is an overarching storyline, and some progression takes place between episodes and series, but each story would be able to stand alone as it's own adventure in the universe.
I actually planned out every episode in the first series, a bunch of episodes for later on, and had a full ending ready. This probably seems really sad of me ;)

Heck, I bet we could have our own Rayman community on fanfiction . Net. Or share a username for our stories. Our even have our own forum. (There's only one Rayman 1 forum on that site, and it's dead.)
 
Well, to be honest, I am also rarely active so I don't mind if group is not getting that much R1 art. It's still cool group though.

Hey, has anyone tried running Rayman Advance on an emulator that allows the muting and un-muting of individual sound channels, and recording each individual channel of certain music tracks? Because that's what I did with the start screen music and the result was interesting.
 
At the risk of sounding dumb, I don't even know what an emulator is. x) What kind of result did you get?

Sorry to get off topic for a moment, but has anyone ever watched Movie Recipes by CinemaSins on Youtube? Because it's inspired me in a Rayman kind of way...
 
To expand upon that in better detail, Emulators are applications that 'emulate' the hardware/software of a console for use another platform. I'm sure you've heard of people playing N64 games on their PC and whatnot; you can download emulators and ripped games from sites like Coolrom and Emuparadise. It's actually an extraordinarily popular thing that's been around forever.

Games often do have emulation problems though, ranging from minor graphical quirks to being entirely unplayable, but there are just as many that run flawlessly.
