I've gotten as far as Space Mama without dying (I don't think that I've ever not died at least once during that fight).

TAS ? :hinhinhin:
I'm speaking in terms of human players, not humans with extremely precise and fine tools.
I'm not an human *bip* my name is GH-204845445
ofc joking, if someone wants to see my new TAS of Rayman 3 i made a topic redux

So you can honestly go through the entirety of Rayman 1 with normal human reflexes and normal FPS? If so, I'll happily retract my statement.

Unfortunately, my XP won't work anymore and after I start the game on my Windows 7, it crashes so I will have to call a friend of mine to fix it then I can try to record the hit less record.

Alright then. I think this would be a futile effort, but for the heck of it, we should make a worldwide hunt to find someone who's completed R1 without dying. Or at least who's gone the farthest without dying. (If none of you have tried hunting before.)

You don't need to look further. ;)

Without taking a hit - Probably very, very, very unlikely.
Without losing a life - Possible, if one can attain the dexterity and flexibility, particularly in Picture City.

Though I doubt I could hit any of those in my gaming life.

:proud: Space Mama isn't that hard anymore if you have played it thousands of times.

I've probably played Rayman 1 far, far more than you have, though this is only a guess, given that I've been playing the game for 14-15 years. I've only attempted a deathless playthrough twice however, and both times leading up to the Space Mama fight I did not have full health; the first time I had two health points left, the second time I had only one. I should rephrase: on these attempts, I've not been able to get past Space Mama without getting hit once or twice, causing my death. I have beaten Space Mama without getting hit before though, of course, but that fight is probably the one thing I still find requires some level of effort and concentration to beat without taking damage.

Mastering Rayman's controls and unconsciently knowing the whole game by heart are important keys for a deathless walkthrough.
