Hmm.. I just got this game working on my Vista 64-bit laptop, and yet it can't see my gamepad at all (unless I use Joy2Key). Even then, it's kind of ass compared to the fluid movement of actually having it pick it up.

so just to know what final boss version you think its more harder, the all versions or the playstation version

The first time I've played the PS1 version I found it really harder. I don't know, I'm used to the classical one from the PC, so I think it is harder on PS1.

Unfortunately, I cannot make that distinction since the only version of R2 that I have(Revolution) has the original fight. Though if it really is the PSX one that's different, it's true that I could pick up a copy of that version sometime(if I find one, if I have money to spare, etc) to see the difference.

I felt kind of dizzy when doing that part on the flying shell... I'd always twist around and go in loop-de-loops to avoid getting blown up by the Grolgoth's darned homing energy-blast-thingies... and hope I wouldn't fail to pay attention and accidentally plunge in the lava or smack into a wall. :fou2:

I was the same. I'd always DO A BARREL ROLL. My friend got annoyed at me, and said it was giving him headaches.

So I continued doing barrel rolls :fou: .

I find the original much easier. The inverted up/down in the PSOne version REALLY pissed my off and caused me to die many times. When turning up/down, I like inverted but when just moving up/down inverted makes no sense to me.

Pretty sure.

You can also write about the plethora of R1 remakes on the R1 thread, all the rabbids games on the rabbids thread, etc.

Well, I sure hope you can talk about Rayman Revolution, because that's the only version of Rayman 2 that I've played! I don't think it'd make sense not to be allowed to do so, in my humble opinion, 'cause there are so many editions of R2 that if one version wasn't allowed then each version would need its own thread. Since the experiences are overall so similar I don't think that'd be worth it. Besides... there are what... three, four versions of the game, maybe more? Dreamcast, N64/PC, PSX, PS2, etc. are the ones I know of. Don't think there are any more... but yeah, even if the arrangement or level layout are different(and some versions have deleted or added extra levels that others don't have), it's so similar that people can still converse about it even if they haven't played the exact same version.

ehhh i want to play rayman revolution (because kristal is a dork) but i have 5 bucks in my pocket and i can go over to pincourt ( a local town) and go buy rayman 2 on the PSX for 5 bucks :D because i dont like the PC version or the DS

I've heard the DS version sucks because the controls don't work very well. Could anyone here(preferably someone who's played the DS version) give more input on that?

in my personal experience, yes the controls do indeed suck, but that's only when you are using the touchpad to control rayman. I though they were fine when you use only the d pad. It's just like playing super mario 64 ds or some other game like that.

ds version= Worst graphics and bad controls

Edit: But I feel bad just throwing out the insults. So gameplay was good I think it was a n64 port. :oops2:
