Is it possible to rip the VMU Rayman? I can't think of anything I'd use it for but is it possible to rip sprites from it? :?:
 
That would be to kill yourself because your Computer's CD-Rom drive can't handle GD-Roms and you can't plug a Dreamcast controller to your computer.

DEPENDS ON DRIVE.

Some people say that is possible to switch some DVD drives to make them reading GDs. And, it is possible to rip ISO through Pasta itself.

But VMU?!
 
It's possible to read GD-Rom's, but this is extremely hard.

And if you inserted the disc you would not be able to rip this because you can't plug in a dreamcast controller :wink:
 
So, what do you find the most challeging guardian. If you ask me it's Foutch. Flying to the battle is already hard and he makes a very good challenge :D
 
Well, the only guardian that I died on playing the first time was Umber, because the jump button didn't work properly, and I just walked off the edge of him. :fou:
 
Yeah, he's tough in the DS version. I was playing with the mouse and i fell of, it would be much easier with the stylus tough, but i don't have the game right now.
 
Hehe, this is my absolute favourite game in the series. :D I haven't met a person who wouldn't like at least something in the game. I really wish for a new Rayman platformer made in the style of R2, or at least an enchanced remake with lots o' cool features. The levels were greatly varied, you would never guess what would come up next. I probably liked the Sanctuary of Water and Ice or The Iron Mountains the best. Riding that rocket, those Globox kids with laser-somethings (those still make me want to laugh) and the robot chicken gave me great memories. Those jumping green-ball-thingos at The Sanctuary of Rock and Lava (or which one was it?) still give me the creeps. The music in the game is fantastic, perhaps one of the best soundtracks ever composed. The storybook-like main theme and the silly sphere-throwing song in SoWaI are still doing rounds in my MP3 player.

I also liked R3, but not as much as R2. The humor just didn't hit me right. My knowledge of English when I first played (8-10 years old) wasn't really good, so I didn't get much out of it, and labeled the whole game as "annoying". I was also shocked to find that the world of Rayman 3 was different from the world of R2 I knew and loved. When I found the disk again about a year ago, I decided to give it a try anyway. Not that bad, especially on the later levels. At least when compared to the Rabbid nonsense. It isn't really my thing. I'm not gonna babble about that in this topic, though :) Sorry if that went too off-topic.

R2 is one of those games you want to play over and over again. It's silly, charming and made with love, and you can see it. I can still remember the day when I walked to that small bookstore (it still carried games back then), and the wall was full of R2 boxes. More than any other game in the store. It was the hit of the time here. My dad was with me, he picked up one box and paid for the clerk. I carefully eyed the box. The very familiar picture of Rayman and the ship. I didn't even know how much this game would offer me. *nostalgic overflow*

I fully agree with you. Rayman 2 is the best game that i ever played. It has a nice style, it has cool characters; beautfiull maps, and variety. I am a huge Rayman fan !
 
Rayman 2 is indeed a truly awesome game. I also loved that magical style Ubisoft applied to each level, along with the great characters and detestable enemies.

Same here. Last time I played Rayman 2, one of them jumped out from nowhere and attacked me. I jumped out of my skin!

That was a great post. I know what you mean about Rayman 3, it doesn't take itself seriously enough but I still love that game too.
 
Did you mean that one with lots of HP (and strange underpants) in the area where you start flying with that rocket? Oh yeah, that was a challenging fight.
