I think the intro lacked something. I have in mind the technical limitations of its time but I believe that this sequence in the manual deserved to be animated, especially now with the current technology and with an existent image of the Fairy Council, something we hadn't any visual reference before Rayman 3. Other cutscenes could be either added or changed with minor extra details. The Japanese manual of Dreamcast and PS2 versions of R2 do show illustrations though, but I do not think they make a lot of justice to the real scenario that the text gives us.

The good examples I can think of could be Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty or even the upcoming Crash Bandicoot: 'N' Sane Trilogy. They did not limit themselves to remaster the cinematics but there are other subtle changes or even new things.

I agree the pirates take a while to appear particularly threatening past the intro, maybe a little extra visual showing them building their outposts and capturing teensies would help instill the idea that there's something to be wary of.

On the topic of remakes, I would like to see the Revolution hub return, maybe with some added content both in terms of gameplay and presentation. A couple little living spaces for teensies and an actual store to purchase items, and ideally reworked to make it all feel a bit more tied together. Some additional time spend with other characters (Clark, Sssam) in the form of sidequests would also be a welcome addition.

As for the Hall of Doors, maybe it could work as a level of its own? It's an area I would really like to explore and you could invent a lot of interesting mechanics and crazy visuals with the source material.

Perhaps instead of having the Teensie Circles, have them teleport Rayman to the Hall of Doors?

The Sanctuary of Iron and Air. Iron for the Iron Mountains, air for its main element. That's what I've called it since I first played the game and it still seems to make sense now. Interestingly enough, other people seen to have independently had the same idea.

The Iron aspect reminds me of the obscure Rocky that you must defeat in the portable version of R3.

The Sanctuary of Water and Ice should have an additional platforming segment inside the sanctuary itself, it doesn't make sense that the introduction area lasts longer than the actual sanctuary, and is in general one of the easier and shorter levels in the game. Seeing some waterfalls and frozen platforms would do more justice to the name too, rather than just slippery stones floating in space.

True, though the environment you encounter in him is very similar to beneath the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava.

It's true that it was a bit rushed in that regard, that icy slope bit should have been the last part of the sanctuary.

Rushed? I guess that's why there were so many Lums just in a ring around the first room behind the Temple Doors.

Although I liked their placing, there could have been "more to it" in that room - maybe the door into the void could actually have been closed and needed additional exploration through a door at the top (where some of the Lums currently are) to open.

A longer slippery slide section would also definitely be welcome. I love the sliding segments in the game. :mryellow:

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? It's installed by a CD I've been given from my cousin, The CD was on an article in "Komputer Świat GRY" March 2003. Although it says that "Rayman 2 was installed properly" it doesn't want to run and this message keeps appearing.
I'll be glad if someone knows the solution of this issue!

I remember having this problem too, but some DLLs lying around in the forum in places (do a search)/the GOG version of the game fixed this for me if I recall correctly.

The GOG version has this fixed, but it has no Polish language, even if I change the ubi.ini, but in the GOG has sometimes glitched sounds and music

Also, I found a page in that was the fix for it, but the link is dead now :/

Please don't double post. (Or did you quote instead of editing by mistake?)

About the GOG version not being in Polish, something you could try is copying the file "Fix.sna" from a Polish copy to the GOG version. This file is in "Rayman 2/Data/World/Levels", where "Rayman 2" refers to the game directory. For the GOG version, I guess it's probably "C:\GOG Games\Rayman 2", and for the Polish version I guess you could look on the CD, if you have it. I can't remember whether or not this works, so make sure you make a backup first.

They seem to have a high quality image from a screenshot of the 2D version of Rayman 2 here: https://gamehistory.org/media-assets/
I'm not sure if they actually found the original one or if they simply fixed the image to be higher quality by using assets from the level in the PS1 version.

Damn, I thought that might happen. :x You could try copying some DLLs over from the GOG version, not sure which ones…

Copying only fix.sna may not enough.
Try to Google for "Rayman 2 spolszczenie" and all necessary files will be inside that package. Probably something is missing. I tested this package with GOG version, and files there were taken from original Polish version, and everything worked fine.
