Rayman 2 Japanese Title and Demo screen - DreamCast version:

I decided to record a video of my Japanese copy of Rayman 2. :)

I do plan to make more videos, especially if any of you guys are interested.

Because, in Japan/China, they associate purple with the dead...so it was changed to blue to avoid offending anyone. Also, Rayman's eyes aren't black, they're actually dark blue. And if you want to know why Rayman M was called Rayman Arena in America, it's because in America, people thinks any game with 'M' on it means it is for a mature audience. I got most of these facts from RaymanZone Magazine. There was only one issue in the world and my little brother got it.

I heard from Hunchman that color part was not true or something. =\ I'll ask him again about it to see for sure...

Chocolate cookie?
Well, we have to come back to topic soon again. Does anyone had the glitch where Rayman gets stuck in a wall?

I never got stuck in the wall in Rayman 2 before... does it happen on certain areas or just randomly happens?

*EDIT*

Well, I just got a reply from Hunchman, apparently the color purple in Japanese is associated with wealth and aristocracy. He did research on it.

Thanks for sharing that with us Hoodcom. Seeing as this is the Dreamcast version I should imagine it'll use the gibberish. I wonder if anyone might mod their PS2 and play the Japanese version of Rayman Revolution on it.

You could just get a PS2 emulator and play Rayman 2 Japanese on it... be a lot safer than modding a PS2. I didn't have to mod my DreamCast to run Rayman 2 Japanese, I just used a Utopia boot disk which allows you to boot imported or backed up copies of your games.

I have no idea if there is something like that or not for the PS2. :?
