After playing Rayman 3 I went back to Rayman 2 for some Lums. Got some of the Lums that I kept missing before. The one I needed in the Bayou was sneaky. It was the one where you have to go on the Log.
Jump on the log and then Rayman will bounce.

I'd got it already.
Then there is a lum floating in the air. Use the logs to make Rayman bounce then activate the helicopter power. You will also see a platform under you.

Like I said I got it.

The missing crystals and Village aren't flaws, they were just plain not present. That's like saying the PC version is flawed because it doesn't have any of those. :/
No, they are flaws. You don't understand. The 3DS version was a port of the DC version, which included all that.

Exactly.

Rayfan, if they didn't want to include the Village, I would have been happier that the game was a port of the PC version then. It would have made more sense. Now porting the DC version and eliminating the best of it makes me wonder what happened.

Then I don't know which lums are left.

Well I have 774. I'm missing a few in the Fairy Glade and the Echoing Caves.

You're playing the PS1 version aren't you?

You can check my walkthrough videos if you are struggling for the location of the Lums.

Hello everyone.
Just wondering...is there still anyone obsessing with the Tomb of Ancients hole ?
I just "Cheat Engined" Rayman 2 (PC) to fly in other levels than the Sanctuary. Well, I got into the hole
and it's similar to N64 version, that means : There's the scene, the globoxes, the Teensie and the weird fat guy.

However, something caught my attention...when you fly outside the playing zone, you get to see other parts of the level...
well, I can see under the floor and the craft that you're supposed to use to get to the hole is there.

What do you guys think ? Maybe there's a different way to activate it in this Rayman version ?

Ps. I know there is the thread for this but it's very old and I don't want the mods to come for me :P

That box is present in all versions, but the method to get it to appear only works in the Dreamcast and 3ds versions.
Whether or not an alternative method exists is yet to be seen.

@ Shrooblord and RayFan: The green water in the Precipice can be turned into purple like in the other versions. Just change the lumonisity from the pause menu.

I saw a dream where I was playing Rayman 2. :D Can't remember details, but there was The Hall of Doors from PC version. Funny, I don't have it and didn't play it that recently.

I wish I could play it on PC, but I can't. The reason is here: http://i48.tinypic.com/15nwwvk.png

Really? Now that's strange. Interesting find.

I dream about the Hall of Doors sometimes. It's a very nice place.

Its fun to have grown with the PC version: more than used to see the Hall of Doors and finding something perfectly normal in Rayman 2. (Maybe that's why it feels strange to play the DC version and PS2 versions?)

I grew up playing the PS1 version.
So it wasn't the Hall Of Doors that took much getting used to, rather, a huge amount of everything else.

It might be just a coincidence but I think that if a person wants to start to play Rayman 2 for the first time I would recommend trying the PC version.

I concur.
While I did grow up playing the PS1 version, I'm more accustomed to the PC version now that I've played it so many times.
