Yeah. It still very hard the first few times you do it, though. The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire as a whole is harder in the PS1 version than the other versions, though. It is even longer than the other versions (It includes new parts of the level and has no optional parts), and even has a tough boss at the end.
Yeah, truly. I only own the PS1 version of the game, although from what I've seen in Let's Play videos of the other versions, the PS1 version of the level is a bit harder. Speaking of, I'm starting to think I should start the game all over again - haven't played it in awhile. But in all reality, I'm really dying to play Revolution, the only problem being that it's too damn hard to find. I'm lucky I that I even managed to find Rayman 3, for a matter of fact. The only Rayman games that are easy to find on the PS2 are Arena and Raving Rabbids.
Went a bit off topic there, but I'm pretty bored I guess.

I saw someone playing Rayman 2 on his laptop during a lecture today. It made my day.
He kept failing at the walking shell part in Sanctuary of Stone and Fire which was absolutely hilarious.
Honestly, just hearing that made my day. I'd pay to see someone at my school play R2 in the middle of class, and throw in an extra tip just to see them fail.

I only own an actual PS1, so I'll have to find an actual disc for this to work.
Good luck with that. I was lucky to even find a single copy of the game at a V. Stock store. Honestly, the Rayman games are some of the hardest to find, with the exception of Rush and Raving Rabbids, and maybe R1, too (in my experience). Not to mention that once you find a copy or two of, say R2, you better buy it quick, because the games sell quickly (once again, in my experience). Hopefully, you'll find a copy, though.

I own a PS2 slim but the glitch you are talking about is normal in every R2TGE copy for PS1 and happens in all the 3 PlayStation consoles, including in the PS1 emulator. Although it ocasionally happens, you can fix it by pressing the start button and returning back to the game. Unfortunately the problem is very frequent in Rayman Rush for PS1, especially if you are playing with a robot character or your opponent is a robot, but it gets fixed in the same way. What it can happen in Rush, however, is the temporary absence of all the sound effects until your return to the main menu.
I tried pressing the start button and going back to the game awhile back, but it never really worked. Guess I'm unlucky. Anyways, has anyone else had a sound glitch in The Masrhses of Awakening in the PS1 version in which all of the music and ambience quits playing? That always annoyed the hell out of me.
