I might be a bit biased considering I grew up with computer games and still to this day do not own a console (or any of the handheld games of the past, which means I've never experienced there being only 150 Pokemon, but that's another story), but there's just something charming about the feel of PC games as a whole, and the way the already-charming Rayman universe was made on their technology. Yeah, it's lacking in a few features, but I think how comparatively simple it is makes it perhaps the easiest to just get right through and enjoy the worlds that they do have.
Not to mention it's from a time when pretty much everything had its PC version specifically tailored to PC so that you didn't have to worry about the controls being bad (I'm looking at you, Watch_Dogs), so it's just a nice experience.
Also, *insert joke about being Razorbeard here*
