Yes, thank you. Best performance and loading time with textures mods are using DDS format and that format is only compatible with Ishiiruka version. But I don't know why my packed version doesn't work for him.

Open the .ahk file to see the exact name for every iso. Maybe that's the problem.

There is a CPU overclocking option in the latest version that I think helps.
 
And it's the next argument for DC version, even in comparison to PC version. Smoothness.

Imho if you have the powerful enough PC and 60 FPS, you'll encounter FPS drops in some places like Minisarious Bridge anyway.

Now at least this place not lags whole game, but I would not count on fully stable 60 FPS on Rev. I always can be wrong.
It depends on your hardware, but you can ask on PCSX2 forums, because there was an update, and some things have changed for better recently.

But I'm not talking about the slowdowns but regular framerate that is 60 vps = 30 fps for Revolution version.

Framerate is not locked. Means - normal framerate of the game is 60 FPS, and something around for PAL, or even the same. You can even unlock framerate in PCSX2, but it rather distorts gameplay as it is in most games in PCSX2.
But even 60 FPS in Revolution emulated in PCSX2 not gives such a smoothness like in Dreamcast version. At least I only tested nullDC so far, since I already made some small thing in matter of graphics for Rayman 2. It's not perfect, but still, something. You can see bellow, Reshade preset.
Unfortunately, I have to say that is not finished.

The framerate is possibly limited by the clock rate of the PS2's CPU, meaning the normal framerate is far below 60fps. You might be confusing framerate for the refresh rate, which is always 60Hz in NTSC and usually 50Hz in PAL (although some games support PAL60). By enabling overclocking in PCSX2's settings the framerate may increase, if it is unlocked.

If it was running at 60 FPS, then it would be as smooth as the Dreamcast version.

How are you doing that, anyway?
 
No, I didn't chose overclocking option during my gameplay then.
So it is based on what you see as a framerate in PCSX2. For me this 60 FPS it's absolutely not the same as in Dreamcast version.
And why, Ribshark just said. Nice knowledge. Bows.

Actually nullDC also allows to unlock CPU's clock, but game runs too fast then.

The framerate is emulated. PCSX2, like any emulator, will always read 60/50 FPS unless your hardware is actually lagging it or you put on a limiter/frame skipper.
 
Fraps actually gives the same FPS. That's a wider problem.
In this way we should calculate what FPS in PCSX2 will be corresponding with real 60 FPS.
But we can't do this, since above 60 FPS (NTSC), most games starts to go crazy.

Actually, I have tried to lock the Revolution on some better frame rate here:

So I just remembered that I have done it before.
Since gamefixes cause little slow down of usual 60fps we can adjust fps manually by Turbo Mode.
Set in GS tab Turbo Adjust at 105% and activate it by disable frame limiter (if enabled [you have 60 fps]) by F4 key and press Tab to activate Turbo mode (62,94 FPS). Now you have better smooth. Remeber that you can't activate Turbo Mode if you have frame limiter (60 FPS [50 PAL]) enabled. See at console when changing settings, shows all what you're changing. Misc =>Show Console

Let's be clear.

Fraps counts 60 fps in Revolution using PCSX2 but that's because the emulator is rendering 60 frames every second from the ps2 game. The problem I'm talking about is that only 30 of those frames are really different frames. I have a locked framerate in the first level of revolution and the framerate is in fact 30 fps, no matter what fraps shows.

I think that Rayman Revolution in a real PS2 is a 30 fps game with slowdowns under 30 in a few spots and that's why I prefer the dreamcast version.

It may be possible. Game it self rather doesn't work that bad.
