I've never seen that before, I'm glad you still had the image, thanks for sharing :).

I wonder if anyone knows the original source of this image, the site where this came from is gone and I found nothing when I did a reverse image search.

I think it might be a phony tbh. I recall Stacey in particular was very particular about not really trusting the onet blogs as sources of reliable information.

You made a post or two on Record Day. :P

Also it's nice to see you!

Ohhhhhhhh right, I forgot about that whole thing :P
Nice to be back tbh, it's been way too long! I know Rayman's kind of in limbo right now game-wise, so I figured there wasn't much discussion to be had about it, hence my leave. But of course I had to come back for Hunch's birthday :3 Nice to see you too!

Don't know whether it was mentioned, but some master made an upscaled Rayman 3 intro and trailer using Gigapixel AI, Waifu2x, Selur's Hybrid and interpolated it to 60 FPS. It's a bit squeezed and could be a bit sharper, but result is stunning.

He made also NFSMW intro and UG2.

For something completely different, I haven't seen Rayman 3 first level made in Unity:

So after UE4 remake, it's another recreation of the level. And looks also stunning.

And here I found Clearleaf Forest in UE4:

That intro looks pretty damn good all right! I never realized how much detail there was on Murfy's teeth. :fou:

I hadn't seen that Unity remake of FC3, but I've played an Unreal one (can't remember if it was posted on the English side before :oops2:).

The CF one is interesting. It's definitely a more cartoony take on it than the original, but it's pretty nonetheless. It's interesting to see that area at night, and so peaceful!

The method for 60fps reminds me of the interpretation feature on my TV, but it looks pretty nice. The recreated Fairy Council looks amazing also.

Not interpretation, but interpolation, it's the same technology, but in TV, much better refined, works in higher FPS, and in-fly.
Currently, you can use also SVP on PC, but e.g my CPU/GPU handles only 60 FPS in fly, while the same or better FPS gives dual core CPU in my TV.

E.g. I made a similar video with NFS Heat trailer. It makes huge difference.

60 FPS:

Maybe just one of the many display bugs in that version? I mean, the game's got rainbow-colored water after all. :P

played it for the first time today!! my first 3d rayman too. had to fight gog a bit beofre playing it but either way it was pretty epic. had no idea what i was doing though!

The first time I played the game I only had 180k by the end. I didn't realise how bad that was until I seen posts on here dated from 2004 talking about having over 600k. :P

I mean to be fair even the developers thought you couldn't go higher than 500k.

And, really, passing any multiple of 100k is still an amazing feat regardless of how low that multiple is. It's a lot of growth. Like, I only just passed 500 and that felt pretty great. Can't imagine how it must feel for someone to hit 800k for the first time.

i barely got past the first world bruh
evident by hte scores of the end of the levels i was mostly doing between decent and bad but keep in mind ive never played it before lmao

I can't remember for sure but I think I reached around 400k points during my first playthrough.
Much better than what I could have done at the time, I didn't have a clue. I just happened to have a copy of the game for PS2 at the time and wanted to play it. I didn't even know where I was going when I was in Razoff's mansion when I first played. :oops2:
