Rayman 3

Can it not? I saw one of Oldclassicgamer’s old videos where he said it worked. Maybe it used to but doesn’t anymore

You really have it for Ninty fans don't you xD

As for John Leguizamo, I think the time Rayman 3 came out, the first Ice Age came out, he was Sid the Sloth in that if memory serves. Whether or not his name held that much sway, I don't know. But I think the idea is that if a game has a "big name" attached to it, there's some perceived value becuase "hey they're in this thing, it must be good if they were wanting to be in it"

Billy West is a prominent VA, not so much Hollywood level though, from my understanding. Think of it how even though James Arnold Taylor and David Kaye voiced Ratchet & Clank respectively, the movie's poster was more interested in hyping up the voices of Sylvester Stallone or John Goodman.

Ultimately it's just marketing BS for the sake of it. I'll be honest as a kid at that time, I certainly didn't really pay much mind to any of the VAs.

Only fanboys. Casual fans can be left alive
Ah fair, I don't have anything against diehards of anything (it'd be pretty hypocritical given my presence here), but yeah those who kinda blindly follow things without much critical thought do kinda get on my nerves at times, so I can respect that I suppose.

Yeah... i mostly think im mad that Billy isnt on the box is cuz hes mt fav VA.. but also his voice fits so well for Murfy in this game tbh

It makes me so mad when video game boxes have a “starring” section. Like I don’t give a damn who’s making the funny voice, I just wanna hear about the game!

Especially as a kid, being reminded your favorite character isn't real and is in fact a patchwork of contributions from paid employees and contractors just ruins the immersion :P

Yeah! And for some reason, even though I know it’s voiced, knowing who voiced it (unless they’re an actor that has a very similar lineup and personality to the character) it kinda makes me appreciate them less as a character

Which dialogue exactly? Given the context, I'd assume you're referring to his little monologue about getting cast as a tormented artist after Rayman 2?

No, uh him telling Rayman to take his clothes off??

Also im stuck punching this Hoodlum behind a cut out of globox.. i think thats just a skill issue on my part..

Edit: Yeah, was a skill issue :pfff:

I don't recall him telling him to take off his clothes...I remember a cheeky remark he makes to Rayman asking when his clothes come off, but I always took that as a playful jab at the fact that Rayman always seems to be wearing the same outfit.

As for the Hoodlum hiding behind the cutout, it's a bit finicky but it's trying to get you to get to grips with the curved punch, so keep strafing and punching and try and get the hoodlum to move one way and then hit him the opposite way where it'll be open.

Yeah.. turns out i was doing it wrong...

Also yeah that was the cutscene i was refencing lmao

another also: Got really mad at Murfy and was cussing him out and my brothers friends are outside :pfff:

Maybe I'm just tuning it out, but I never really found Murfy all that annoying. You'll be glad to know he's not around once you beat the Fairy Council at least.
