Rayman 3

I really like the original Rayman 3 logo... I hope they will at least keep the original music.
Of course they will. Producing music is one of the most lengthy jobs there are in the platforming genre.

If they do so much as add those cartoony sound effects shown in the trailer...
I shall bombard fanboy RAGE!

I doubt they'd change the soundtrack, that'd be going to far, but I hope "remastered sound" is just current audio effects and not "remastered" replacements.

I don't quite think remastering is necessary, except maybe allow for slighty higher quality, if any at all.

Especially being on a 3DS, you ain't going to need surround sound, let alone a very high quality stereo output considering the limitations of the built-in audio circuitry, speakers, and headphone amplifier.

The game was made in 2003, the sound effects are fine.

It does need higher quality. After all, Rayman 3 HD is not on 3DS, and the original quality of the music was really poor (22khz, same as Rayman 2).

I didn't convey what I said there correctly by the look, what I mean is that whilst watching the trailer, I heard quite a few sound effects I had never heard before, such as the cartoony dahing sound when Globox runs into the Fairy Council, or the machine gun sounds when shooting in the flying machines.
I'm saying that I hope those kind of sounds are just used for effect in the trailer only and haven't been used to replace the sounds we're already used to.

I hope that if the sound quality is noticably better, I'll be able to enjoy all the music a lot more. As I'm writing this, I think I'm starting to realise it's the music that really does it for me in games.

On a 3DS it doesn't... but, seeing as it isn't for a 3DS. I it needs to be higher, if at all possible.. :P

I wonder how I thought it was going to be for a 3DS.

I think they'll have a regular Rayman 3 logo too - that Origins thing is perhaps just something for the trailer.

Here's hoping, I actually like the "Hoodlum Havoc" Subtitle, that and the best thing about the Rayman logo is that whilst it follows the same layout (curved backwards), they all look different and relevant to their games.
That and, I can't see that logo working well with the start screen, the original works better.

Well it's already on the cover so I won't get my hopes up.

Again no PC version?

You can look into GOG.com where they sell the original version of Rayman 3 for PC. It's cheap and worth it.

You can also expect Rayman Origins on PC in late march.

I have the original. I want the HD version. And i have a feeling that unlike Origins, this will never come out for PC
