Rayman 3D

I don't now what to think about this but in Nintendo World 2011 in Japan was a Rabbids PLATFORMING game announced. The game will come out Spring 2011 for the 3DS. I hope that this is not Rayman 3D.

It looks more like a 3DS version of Rabbids Travel in time. Funny enough I was thinking just this morning about why there hadn't been a game of it on the DS and then wondered if they'd save it for 3DS. This Japanese article doesn't even mention Rayman at all [the title of this is "Rabittsu Taimu Toraberu, literally meaning Rabbids: Time Travel"]. All Rabbids games have been out in Japan before so it's not a first.

I was really finding strange Ubisoft not having released the RR:TiT for Nintendo DS, but it seems they were just waiting for the 3DS console.

Very short footage of Rabbids 3DS on youtube right now, about 1:23 in.

Looks kinda cool

I think it would be kinda like Bit Trip Runner where the Rabbid keeps running and you only have to jump.

Cool. By the way, I tested the Online mode in RR:TiT. It's more limited than I thought.

The video's blocked here. But I saw it earlier anyway.

It better not have "Rayman" in the title unless he makes an appearance in it.

That will not be the case. RR:TiT hadn't any Rayman reference.

Yea, but you have to remember that Raving Rabbids: Travel in time no longer has the name "Rayman" in its title. When Rayman left the series, his name was dropped.

Why did you reply to Haruka's post with this? This is exactly what she meant.

And keep in mind everyone, this is Ubisoft. If they want to sell more copies of the game by gratuitously putting Rayman in, they will do it.

Rayman 3D is a port of Rayman 2. It was just on the 3DS conference in Amsterdam. It will come out between the release day of the 3DS and E3. Grafix look just the same. :( Nothing is improved.

You went to the conference?

Another Rayman 2 port. I'm not surprised. A Rayman 3 port would be too much good to be true.

They better not screw it up by removing the Globox Village, the Glob Crystals and Axel’s and Foutch’s auras, like they did for the iOS version.

I expect that the graphics in the final release will be better than what you saw.

But I really doubt they will use the Dreamcast version since it is from SEGA. I'm sure it is another Nintendo 64 port.

It's possible, as long as they don't limit themselves to "copy and paste" the game. I hope they fix the diagonal runnings of Rayman in the D-Pad (At least the console will have an analog stick so I think it will improve) and change the touch screen interaction.

No, could watch it online on the Nintendo Of Europe site. Yves Guillemont announced the game. Here's the Ubisoft launch up.
