Rayman AFG (Another Fan Game) is the temporary title for this 3D rayman fan game made by me and some team mates.

Thanks to Evelyn Chickentalk for livestreaming the game :P

Engine: Unity
3D software: Blender
2D software: Gimp

The plot:
This nostalgic fan game takes place after Mr. Dark vanished at the end of Rayman 1. Someone or something entered his secret laboratory to play some new dark magic tricks, resulting in the respawn of some of the defeated creatures. They started to invade again the Glade of Dreams.

Woah, this is really cool! It's nice to have a new actually tangible 3-D Rayman game to play, even if it is only a demo :mrgreen:
I'd love to do something to help, though I'm not familiar with Unity (or any sort of game creation really) so all I could do is texturing.

Doesn't work on 32bit Windows. When I try to launch it, it gives me error because I have 32bit Windows. Please update it.
 
Bets Hour ! Which one will be the first to come out ? Rayman AFG, ROT, or 4 ?

But seriously, it is looking good, keep it up.
 
Wow looks really nice (especially like the cage with the electoons in the screenshot)! sadly i can't play it now because i'm using a shitty laptop (and it doesn't open, probably because the laptop is 32 bit). Are you going to upload some gameplay footage to youtube :? ?

Anyways, based off the images this looks very nice! Can't play right now cause no PC. Thanks for the ROTD shoutout btw, it will be greatly appreciated by Ad!

Indeed it's only for 64 bits windows atm. I'll post a 32bits build soon.

Eerrr, Chrome is very cautious when downloading .exe file, I can assure you I did not put any kind of virus inside, I don't even know how to code except from Unity and HTML.

Good news, the team expanded to 8 people, this is gonna speed up things, but there's still a long way to go!
I'll post a progress report soon.

It can, as long as I am not in Skype call, recording with Camtasia and DXTory.
4GB RAM is biggest issue for that since it is not good for multi tasking. Game itself is not demanding and it works without lag if nothing is in background.

Every time Chrome says download is dangerous it is a lie.
 
Well I can't. All I know is that game works fine when we are not in Skype call and I can send you full recording as proof. I dunno if it is not RAM what is causing slowdown but my PC is not good for multitasking.

Have just updated the first post with a win32 build. Should work on 64bits processors too however.
The colors may slightly change between 64-32 bits.
 
Besides crashing my computer and deleting most of my files, I say that is quite the demo you got here! Keep up the great work! The Electoon you've made are absolutely adorable.
 
Just played the demo and I'm super impressed. The game plays and looks great so far- I look forward to seeing more updates! :D
 
New Linux build, should work fine now (link on the first post)
The keyboard bug has been resolved by the Unity team.
