Can I get an official confirmation of this?Also,why would Raymesis' description indicate he can't be Bad Rayman?It just says he tries to ruin Rayman's reputation by dressing like him and smashing things.Maybe after 100 years he remembered who Rayman was and now he is trying to do what he really had to do: put Rayman in a bad light.
 
But then you need to get me an explication of the real Bad Rayman that is going around following you exactly like the real bad rayman from rayman 1.
 
The way I see it:
This black Dark Rayman was created by the five Dark Teensies."Stupid",you may say,but it should be reminded that Ales was a big fan of Mr.Dark.He could do that to show his admiration for his idol and that he learned much magic during the 100 hundred years nap...

OR:
The nightmares also touched DarkRay (much like the other enemies) and he was multiplied into 2 guys:One named Raymesis and the other Dark Rayman.

Both sound reasonable.
 
Awesome headcanon just came to me.

The significant, recurring ring symbol represents the bubble. Bubbles seem to hold high significance in Origins and Legends, do they not? The bubble/ring can be seen as a symbol of creation and death. It's a literal circle of life.
 
Don't you think that maybe these name changes were made to fit the characters better?
Dark Rayman is named like this,because...he is dark and is a Rayperson.
Raymesis may suggest he is actually Rayman's evil clone.(nemesis?)

Meh, I don't consider that Canon, personally.

But, maybe they realised their true feelings and became life partners, and this is them during a Karaoke night.

Rayman is actually a Satanic ruler that conquered the Glade. All those who support him are his loyal, brainwashed servants. Many heroes like Andre and Ales have attempted to stop the sadness he brings but his power is unmatched. When he grimaces he briefly drags your soul to hell and red lums are pure, physical balls of terror that he then uses to aid himself. Also he slept with the Hippie's wife.
