Rayman himself

He only referred the snoozing power as mysterious, he laughs a humble laugh after he mentions the big nap.

Well, I feel like jesting. What if his laughter implies that he's the one who put them to sleep? He does have a thing for snores.

I was jesting, though I wonder if he did insist they take a rest after RO, it would befit his laid-back nature.

Whatever about vagueness, I think that the fact that the creator of the universe used the word "mysterious", even as part of just one hypothesis, strongly suggests that what was happening (a century-long sleep) was abnormal.

I guess so. Though if Polokus didn't do it, how could Rayman and friends sustain that nap for over a century without any outside forces/disturbances?

Off the top of my head, Ales' death caused some kind of enchantment to affect those in the vicinity.

Mind you, him multiplying implies that he's a nightmare, which we know Ales was not. Could the Dark Teensies perhaps be the manifestation of the fear Bubble Dreamer might have had induced when Ales was attempting to oust him?

When I first watched the intro, I got the strong impression that the five Dark Teensies were new nightmares (but probably with the memories of the original Ales). Though watching it again I could be swayed either way.

I don't know about you guys but the implication of a Teensie being a nightmare is pretty freakin' hilarious to me.

But are you sure Ales wasn't a nightmare? I read something saying he was a nightmare that was really well disguised as a good guy.

That's the thing though, isn't it? The RO beta script made it explicit that Ales was a disgraced magician who turned his work to creating order in the Glade. However, in the final release, it's kept very vague as to what he is. So, who knows really? Might be the case, might not.

Usually, they can (IRL that is).
But either way, Dark Teensies behave much more like nightmares than the real Ales. They gratuitously abuse the Glade's residents and don't seem all that interested in creating order (except arguably the 20000 Lums under the Sea one).

You know why? Because the Dark Teensie is the original Ales! Think about it. He's the one who built another mechanical empire but this time underwater. He was the first one to be shown off to the public. It's too coincidental, don't ya think?
