I don't know if this was posted before, but Ancel posted two pictures of the SNES Rayman.
This is it !!! First Rayman pixel art , best hero of all time ...
Pixel lovers ... Did this 25 years ago , the game was playable on the Super nintendo console but was never finished + We've lost the build . All these pixels are lost , like tears in the rain ...
Also:
aquab0n: I miss Rayman, a new game soon ?
michelancel: Beyond Good and Evil first ;)
So as we all thought, it's best not to expect any Rayman game for some time.

Also, he posted the first ever drawing he made of a Rabbid: It's really quite cool that he continued to post there! I really expected him to abandon Instagram as soon as his fans found out about it, like that time on Facebook. But he didn't, and instead continued to deliver interesting pictures. :)

Whoa, that second image reminds me a bit of the blue mountains.

Also on Ancel teasing BG&E again, it's as if he's not even trying to hide it anymore. :P

What a shame they really lost the build :(. It could be quite a piece of history.

His other comment though... maybe there is still some hope for a new Rayman title in future but I do not see it happening before 2020, unless they surprise us! But for now I am definitely looking forward the development of Jade's next adventure :D.

Only recently I figured out he had an Instagram account. I was believing he had nothing online in order to prevent a flood of fan messages but it doesn't seem to be as negative as I was imagining.

As for the Rabbid drawing, it was already known (I do not remember the video source where I've seen it). It was originally drawn during a train travel in a napkin!

Whoa indeed, though every time I look at the SNES images, I can't help but feel glad that it was scrapped. Rayman's final look is much more iconic, I feel.

"We've lost the build. All these pixels are lost, like tears in the rain.."

This actually makes me sad, the game sure didn't look the best but it is sad to see that it's lost forever :(
Also I remember seeing that first Rabbid sketch, didn't it appear in that Rabbid video where they showed the early RRR Proto Rabbids?
EDIT: Oh, looks like I was indeed right

It also appears like we're not going to get any new Rayman game until BG&E's sequel/prequel will come out (as expected) by this confirmation from Ancel:

On the topic of Beyond Good and Evil, I've been seeing the NX rumours flying about again, I hope they're not true, BG&E might be getting far more attention now, but I'd rather it not be consigned to a single platform, especially not one that seems to have become particularly exclusive.

I'm not sure if this is anything to go by, but when someone asked which platforms BG&E was being released on, this is what Michel Ancel said:
No specific platforms for now
He did also say:
We still have loooooots of work but now the tech is ready and the team is fantastic!
So it seems to be far from finished, which probably means they'll wait and see how well the NX does before deciding on platforms.

That really sucks that the SNES proto build has been lost but at the same time it doesn't surprise me, protos unfortunately get lost all the time. At least we do get a much clearer image of the main sprite which *can* now be reproduced provided one knows the SNES colour palette.

This is incredible! I can't believe they actually found it! I wonder what that world is supposed to be, looks kinda like a tech world or something :o

Holy moly, great to hear that they managed to dig it up. A pity though that we can't get it dumped though, but hey, it's nice to see that it's still functional after all this.

Holy shock, that stuff's old, I wonder if it is a full game though. I wouldn't worry if I were you, they'll dump it, that work is too precious to loose.
