Rayman himself

So i found this somewhere, and I thought it was amazing. Rayman drawn in the Sonic Battle art style.

Could of done with a bit more fine tuning, but I love this art style, and Rayman looks really cool in it.

Not really, it's never come up, try the Crash fanbase, Twinsanity's design changes brought five fingers instead of four.

What's the relation to Crash Twinsanity? The art style?

Crash fanbase has "TATTOOS" issues.

Just pointing this out, as it's consistent:

*Could have

"Could of" is incorrect and makes no sense, it's something picked up by hearing the phrase incorrectly. Compare these two:

"I have done everything on the list"
"I of done everything on the list."

The first one is obviously the correct one, just as it would be when comparing these two; all that's being added is 'could' to imply possibility and hindsight:

"I could have done everything on the list"
"I could of done everything on the list"

Lad, listen.
I know bad grammar is a pet peeve of yours.
Honestly, it's one of mine too.

But I never make that mistake when writing formal essays or letters or anything like that. 99% of the time, my grammar is perfect when it's actually a formal matter. I don't need grammar lessons from you. :V

You know the way people say "could've" when talking in an informal situation?
Over here in Ireland, if you listen to people with certain kinds of accents, it sounds like they are saying "could of" when they say "could've" (which is also incorrect in formal situations anyway). I live in an area filled with people like that. Although I don't have an Irish accent in general (according to others anyway), certain quirks (both language related or otherwise), such as saying "could of" instead of "could have" in casual conversation, have rubbed off on me.

And because I say the words I want to type in my head as I think of them, I tend to let my little quirks and slang make their way into my posts on the internet.

Also, I don't see what correcting my casual grammar quirks has to do with Rayman. :V

Laddy, no need to go all "I don't need grammar lessons from you" - you do it a lot, and I felt like it needed to get pointed out at some time or another, so I decided to point it out. Are you aware of the quirk problem? It sounds like you might be, so I don't get why you're making it sound like you'd actually want to phrase something in a way that doesn't make any sense. 8/

Also, "could've" is totally correct by any means, though simply not always >appropriate< in a formal situation. :V

Why not just type it right from now on, hm? It can't be that hard. ;D

- 'Could of' is by no stretch of the imagination a 'quirk' or 'slang', it's not a stylistic thing, it's just wrong.

Saying "I don't need grammar lessons from you" was something I said in a lighthearted and peaceful manner, hence I put the little face next to it.

Sorry, but I don't even attempt to change myself for people I hardly know (I don't even do it often for people I know really well), let alone when it's something as nitpicky as this, and in the case of a habit/quirk, it's not like I really have much control over it (and in this case, I don't particularly care. You are literally the first person to express genuine discontent with this habit of mine. Not just on this forum, but anywhere).

And I'm aware of it just as much as any person is aware of their habits. I have other habits, and I'm perfectly aware of them too. I'm sure you too have habits that you aware of, yet can't seem to control. It's perfectly normal.

People do stuff like that all of the time outside of formal occasions, myself included. I don't need to try my hardest to use grammar of the highest caliber on a forum that focuses on the appreciation of a limbless thingamajig. Most of my posts are done really quickly, and unless I'm reporting on news or something similar, I don't proof read them.

If it's such a problem to you, ignore it. Same goes for anyone else who may have a problem with it. I see plenty of users not even use capitals in their posts, at all. And while I don't have a problem with that myself, if you have a problem with me saying typing "'ve" as " of", have fun crusading against them.

And unless my username is being displayed as "Rayman", I don't know why you decided to bring this up here. If you need to express a personal nitpick or gripe you have against a user, PM them.

I have a tendency to do this with many people at some point if there's some relatively major grammatical quirk problem they consistently exhibit. You're literally the first person to express genuine discontent with my trying to help; everyone else has always been totally welcoming in all regards, yet you seem stubborn in all regards. :V

Certainly in person, yes, or in IM at times, though I put in the extra two percent effort it takes to make myself presentable on a forum, because, well, it's not like I'm being put on the spot. I have a few minutes to make a post. That's just me though, and you're plenty free to be yourself and post as lazily as you want to no objection, leading into the next point:

Wtf, crusading? Lad, Las, Boy, Irish, you really need to take it for what it is and not get so stubborn and defensive over it. You could have simply said something along the lines of "Aye, I'm aware of the problem, but it's not something I care enough about to fix". Would that have been so difficult? Nay, and it certainly would've been both more constructive and brief than typing up these pointlessly long replies that explain very little to me.

Also, I don't really care what topic I do this in, because never before has it taken up more than two posts: [Correction] -> [Oh lol thanks]

My initial reply was literally that, with a little bit of my normal silliness injected in (that you complained there was no need for). Yet you still took it even further still. I'm not the stubborn one.

Please learn how to take jokes and sarcasm. I'm not being super defensive, just killing the discussion now, because if I ignored you, I don't doubt you would bring up the issue in another place where it is not related to the topic matter, or a place where other forum goers don't need to see it. If you can't register exaggeration as a form of simple (and admittedly somewhat cheap) humour during those times where I use it, then I apologise. I will try to keep that in mind in future posts directed towards you.

Your initial post on the matter stated that this is a thing I consistently do, which you are 100% correct in saying. So I simply made a post responding to this, and informing you of the fact it was a habit of mine (and I had some silliness in that post, though that was in good fun, and was not meant to insult you/get confrontational with you in the slightest, if you took it that way). I did not get defensive at all. But then you brought it further, and honestly, you had a bit of an unnecessary attitude and tone in your following post.

And just in general, people calling others out on minor grammatical errors, especially when a person explains it's a habit, or that they don't proof read, or that they might simply be genuinely below average with their grammar, etc, is generally seen as condescending, and disregarding another person's individuality. Especially on the internet, where people genuinely develop typing quirks and styles - and before you try to again deny that people have quirks and habits like this, and try to say that mine can't be one, read Homestuck, a really long, complex and deep web comic that literally uses typing quirks as a way to distinguish between characters, even if that's "not presentable" to some, or in normal, printed literature. Typing quirks, such as my own, can easily be considered a part of one's character, as much as an accent in one's voice can (because much like how typing quirks can lead people to consistent grammatical errors, accents lead people to consistently mispronounce words).

And while I know that in general, you care a lot about presentation in anything, possibly valuing it above all else with certain topics, not everyone does (for me personally, it depends on the topic). And they are not inferior or wrong for that. Most people who don't proof read are fully aware they might make little grammatical mistakes. Like I said before, I didn't get defensive when I responded. I simply explained my little habit that I can't seem to kick. There was no need for you to take it any further than that, and you still did. That's when it comes across as condescending, and implying that someone needs to change to suit your ideal image of the world. Calling me "a real bitch" only supports your condescending attitude even further.

And possibly the weirdest thing about this is that you made your off topic post here, linked me to it on ANOTHER topic, where it was still off topic, to get your point across. Not to mention the post of mine you referenced here was made a few days ago.

I'd rather this discussion be dropped entirely, as it's something I think should of been left at my response if it had to be brought up at all. But, if you are compelled to say more on this, do it via PM. I can't guarantee a response, but either way, this discussion does not need to be brought any further in this topic.

Now, back to talking about the real Rayman (fandom serket: I'm actually Raymesis, not Rayman :V).

Oh, the hypocrisy. :V :V :V :V :V :V :V :V :V :V :V :V :V :V :V :V

But no, you're right, resorting to mockery is much simpler - and at this point more productive - than trying to reason with you, my bitchy lad. I stand by the fact that you bitch a lot, and that there's little I can do to change that. May you spread your wings and live as a free bitch from now on. :)
