Greengoop AND RayGamer99! I might not bring it up as much as ol' Greengoop, but Legends is my favorite Rayman game, and I'll stand by that 'till I'm living in the Land of the Livid Dead! :proud:
 
Seriously, why is most of this game just grinding for SKINS? I feel like most players are only gonna get like… 5 in a normal play through (excluding princesses)? Plus the normal game is only about 4 hours long, so this feels like they were trying to extend the play time of the game. But if they wanted to do that maybe they should’ve.. idk… MADE A STORY WITH CUT SCENES INSTEAD OF REUSING THE SAME ONES OVER AND OVER? Seriously goop says only the switch version is lazy when obviously this entire game is just “play level for skin you will literally never use again!” Like I wouldn’t have mind if it was like, a shop feature where all the skins costed equal amounts and you could work overtime to get all of them and you then get a secret special skin that isn’t some recolour like the others are. Maybe even a secret cut scene? Like idk man, the entire game feels like they needed to shit something out and the exes didn’t care as long as it looked pretty or whatever. I just think this is literally the weakest of the main line games, and it just drags on and on like this message.

I will say that I do enjoy the music levels. I feel like they could’ve expanded on those more, maybe they could’ve made more to tie the story together instead of reusing cutscenes. And I must say the art is FANTASTIC, no notes. I enjoyed how they drew the characters like paintings.

But that’s about it, I like some of the princesses but it feels weird that they’re just… human? Like not even fairies or elves or something. Just humans. But my favourites are Barbara and Hellen (from adventures)

This game is mostly grinding, but it doesn’t mean that I won’t allow others not to enjoy it. It’s just not my cup of tea, and I just wish there was a little more to it. And if you like it, then good for you! I’m glad you were able to enjoy something I didn’t, and I won’t laugh at you for liking it! Just enjoy what you like, I can’t judge you for that!

BUT you don’t have to 100% complete this game, and there’s no point of it if you are playing on the shittiest bit of plastic known to humanity as it doesn’t have trophies. Did you ever 100% complete Origins?

I most certainly have! I've just about 100%'d my Definitive Edition (though that doesn't mean I've stopped replaying levels :wink:).

Speaking for myself, I've found it fun to replay levels using different skins. It can help tell a story for the level and make the experience feel more fresh. For example, I might replay Mansion of the Deep as Splinter Ray and imagine that he's going through the level to gather data on the underwater lab. Stuff like that gives the level another layer of enjoyment, at least for me. :)

Ah, most admirable! I haven't reached that peak yet tbh. I don't think I will be achieving this in the very near future, might take me awhile (nor do I think I can atm anyway...the PC servers are down!)

It's really great to meet someone whose favorite Rayman game is Rayman Legends who's actually nice.

The game took 2 years to release and I’ve never noticed a problem with it before. Did one of the devs steal your girlfriend or something? :lol:. Soften your hate boner.
 
TBH i think what he wrote is completly vaild lowkey. but its just not your own opipon. YOu can still like the game, but it just shows that it was a bit rushed.
 
Well i could see some reasons:
1. the amount of reused characters (even if we do have a ton of new skins, theres lots from origins)
2. the lack of story
3. the reused cutscenes
4. the entierty of Back to Origins.

now this is just my opipon, and you dont have to like it. Idc if you like the game, as long as you dont judge me for my dislike of the game. Its only fair.
 
I disagree with all of those, especially the second one. Nobody shits on Rayman or Rayman Origins for having no story, so why do all these misanthropes give Rayman Legends shit?
 
The game was delayed and Back to Origins was made as a consolation for the fact, I'd argue it wasn't rushed, priorities were less on plot and more on gameplay.
 
Im ending this converation here. I dont feel like getting into an argument about this. plus this is really dumb lol.
