If I may ask, what exactly is the purpose of the registration code?

Also, anyone could either create a fake box/CD, Photoshop it into their hands, or ask someone else to photograph theirs for them. I don't see the point in this manual DRM.

It works also without a need of a Code but you'll need to insert every fuckin' time the CD. You're right that's cruddy. For those who bought the GoG version don't have a CD. But I got an idea. How about programming the executer so that it check if the GoG version is installed?

I mean, what's the point of having a registration code on the patch at all? If you're worried about legal/moral issues relating to the fact that you're distributing these games for free, creating your own registration is one step more illegal than simply handing the game out. A DRM checking if you owned the game might help, but considering it's a game from the mid-90's, that technology obviously wasn't prominent then, and creating a manual trust-based Rights Management isn't really going to help. That is, if Ubisoft gave a damn about it anyway, which is why I find this DRM not only legally inadvisable, but utterly pointless. You aren't protecting any sales; it's not like Ubisoft themselves are still selling these games.

And no, I didn't change my signature.
 
Then the problem is not Ubisoft but websites like GOG. Because you give an updated version of Rayman like them but with some improvements AND Rayman 60 unreleased level FOR FREE. Well I paid only 6 € for Rayman Forever but it's still an issue.

Now Ubi doesn't care about R1 and R2. Maybe about R3 a little.
 
I created now a GoG Unlocker. This tool will look if you have Rayman Forever from GoG and it will automaticly unlock all 4 Games. Check the first post.

Because I am in a residence where there is around 130 students for 4 professional connexions to the Internet. If I were at home (where optical fiber is going to be set in some months) it would be easier, kay?

At least I highlighted the GOG issue hey :P.
