You are thinking of the PlayStation version. The PC version of the game isn't exactly the best port ever made, one of its quirks (besides its smaller FOV and toned-down graphics) its CDDA tracks are identical for all stages inside a certain world, meaning that all the music tracks in said world will loop over and over for each and every stage. The wrong music isn't playing; the original porting job was just bad.

I am anouncing that I will program a new advanced configurator that will allow the user to configurate the software in a way that it won't completely mess up themselfes. Presets from weak low-end computers to powerful high-end computers will be available.
If a user wants to see big pixels or scanlines or sharpened picture, if a you have a very weak graphics card that cannot output ddraw or opengl. If you want the windowed mode bigger or have the aspect correction. All that and more will be soon possible ;) ! After I finish at least 3 maps for our fangame.
