Rayman Optimum

Omar, when I use the advmame3x filter under OpenGL or OpenGLnb on my desktop, there is noticeable screen tear. Are you planning on adding vsync support in the upcoming version?

OKey, so I am releasing v1.22 now. It fixes the issues we had with Windows 8 and you don't need that nasty slowmotion fix anymore. But still I'd recommand v1.22 only for Windows 8 owners. Windows 7 and below may be better with v1.21 so I keep that link posted.

Here is the link for v1.22:

Any chance you can make same box again and send it to me? (I already have disc you gave me so no need for another one but I would like box.) I would be willing to pay for it and shipping price too. I need it as collector. Please.

I'll let you know OCG.
A quick update! v1.22b is now out and it has a better compatibility to Windows 7 and it fixes these odd laggs and during v1.21 and v1.22 I forgot to include the optimised intro clips so it is also back in this version.

Perhaps you should use this filter on the "Nice" setting.

So I have just discovered that Rayman 1 with the xBRZ scaler looks amazing:

BRZ huh? I believe DOSBox didn't come with that scaler, so probably it had to be modified. I'll see what else I can do.

I used the SVN Daum version of DOSBox that comes with extra features such as this, if that is any help.

Looks like version 1.23 will come soon :P
You bet. That DOSBox SVN Daum is sure great but don't expect that it might come very soon, since it is slightly different and I need to run though all that progress that I went through before releasing the Mega Patch.

Alright, take your time then :)

Ok so I translated DOSBox SVN Daum in Rayman Mega Patch and update is now available:

v1.30 - https://mega.co.nz/#!TZxShSwJ!Km7kQEDUSlCzjtaAeFfAaUZoI-ECIuSmjYs6fGD0IkQ

If you want to update make a backup of your old Data folder and deinstall your previous version of Rayman Mega Patch. Go ahead and install the new version. After installation is completed move the old Data folder and replace it with your new one, so you don't loose all your saves.

You didn't add this to the front page. :P

I did already and here is a list with the new features:
New in v1.30:

  • -Direct3D compatible
    -VSync compatible
    -nGlide compatible
    -Stretched fullscreen
    -HQ PixelShaders
    -OpenGL HQ
    -Aspect correction
    -2 additional Scalers: xBRZ and Hardware2x - Hardware5x
-PAL modus doesn't get in slowmotion.

I find funny how the paid GOG version emulates worse than with the patch that is developed by a fan and it is for free. :P

Nice improvements, going to download the 1.30 release. :)
