I actually like Hangul characters way better than Hanzi.

I don't get what the big deal is.

Sure the guy doesn't know English and lacks use for communication, but i think he is being nice when he uploads the newer textures for rayman designer. I am using them right now.
I don't know about everyone else but i find this guy really helpful.

Just my thoughts on the matter.
 
The main problem is that he appears to use Optimum assents without permission and is posting his work on Optimum topic instead of creating his own.

I just think he should learn English for his own sake and to have better time on RPC. I am not against him at all for not knowing language.
 
I don't care if he uses anything from Optimum, good for him. But he should GTFO of this project's thread and open up his own. His project has nothing to do with Optimum, nor do we need his help. Which is why I'd prefer if his posts were moved away.
 
raymandesigner always appears in any random active topic at the time and posts his stuff there. He's been in all of the official Rayman <NUMBER> threads and in Origins and Legends too. And now he's here. Yay1

I get a sort of pleasure out of seeing sporadic updates from the guy, but his total lack of communication is somewhat agitating.
 
On any other normal forum, someone like him wouldn't survive for a week before getting banned, or worse. Why he's allowed on a forum he can't converse on is beyond me.
 
Because we're open and home to anyone. We don't ban you unless you're an asshole of galactic proportions. raymandesigner's not an asshole. He's a bit ignorant, that's all.
 
Maybe he is scared of talking since he is aware of his English? If that is the case, I actually encourage raymandesigner to join conversations on different topics and not just post updates. Perhaps try to interact and improve English and get to know other members better ;)

The problem is that he doesn't get permission before he posts these things (which aren't really "newer," but simply modified in some way), so there's no kind of quality assurance whatsoever before they just go up as "official updates." It's incredibly misleading, and, as Truner said, doesn't belong on the Optimum thread (though banning him would be pretty extreme; the mod preview thing sounds like a much better solution).

Strange, I've two forums and I make sure users understand the rule "speak proper English". Because yes, that should be a rule on a "forum". Not speaking the primary language of the forum is problematic and this forum has like, what, 3 languages it supports? Korean is not one of them. English, the language he is trying to speak is, however this guy takes no time to actually try to understand us. I don't even think he can, nor do he wants to. In which case, he's not even part of the discussion (what forums are about), but instead just selfishly inserts his ads wherever he can.

Again, problematic; the fact that it still happens means that there's absolutely no one trying to get some sense in the guy. Which should be a staff task. Telling him what he is doing wrong, what could help him, etc.
 
While I do not say in any way that he should be banned on RPC , I can confirm that a lot of forums would do that so I would not call that terrible leader but just someone who has more strict rules and there is nothing wrong with that if someone wants more discipline.

The issue isn't with the "rule," but with the punishment you're suggesting to go along with it in the same way a death sentence wouldn't be a suitable punishment for a car robbery.

No one at all is saying that this issue shouldn't be dealt with (Adsolution previously discussed putting him under mod preview only a few posts earlier), but that whining about how no action is being taken and prickishly mini-modding the staff in a way that directly implies that you know better than they do, especially when everything you've suggested wouldn't be realistically justified according to this board's rules, is quite unhelpful (which it is).

Strangely enough, the definition of a permaban in no way coincides with the above, though I do agree that it would be a good first step. However, I do recall people in this thread, including yourself, attempting that very thing, making your statement that "the fact that it still happens means that there's absolutely no one trying to get some sense in the guy" inherently false.

I don't particularly want to be on these forums judging by the sound of them.
 
Well, so far there was no need for me to ban anyone on my forums. Usually PM-ing them a few times with links to google translate and grammar checking sites did the job. That and this guy barely even posts, so make that "week" a "week's worth".

Sure, we can try, but we are not staff members, our word barely holds any ground to fellow users. Surely anyone would take a "STAFF PM BE TERRIFIED" more seriously than my posts.

That said, my first suggestion was to get his posts collected in another topic. Preferably his own where he can update his project. Not sure how that is a bad suggestion. If that's a bad suggestion, than having different threads for every small thing is meaningless, we should just have one big topic and make it free for all.
 
It's not a bad suggestion, I'm all for it. Putting him under mod preview would allow them to be put there before they're seen by anyone else, which I also want to do, but that isn't something I myself have the power to enable.

Regarding my last post, it was meant sort of humourously, in that banning someone for not being able to read or write English properly is totally ridiculous. I've tried to PM him, but the PM was never even opened.
 
When I PM-ed him, he did open it but never responded. It was not even regarding his posting but regarding one Korean Anime.
